Maa-Angel Zameen par 'Happy Mother’s Day'

Maa – the first word a child utters. Maa, the person a child trusts the most and Maa, the epitome of love, endless affection and sacrifice, perhaps is the only person who can go to any length to nurture, protect and pamper her baby. She is the only person who puts her child's needs before her own, one who teaches her children the right from the wrong, one who instills the values of life, shapes her child's personality and yet it is the same Maa, who wouldn't blink once to cover up a truth just so her baby is not worried for her!!! Yes, odd though it may sound, but there are times when our mothers cover up the truths just to save us from some tension and silently suffer it. I am sure you all have faced this in your lives. Today I will share a few such incidents from my life about my mother, the Angel, who showered everything on me and yet wanted just my happiness in return, something I am sure all the Mom's of this world are doing each and everyday!!! It will tell why they are so extra special and important in every human beings life. I would take this oppurtunity to wish all the Mother's here at India Forums and otherwise too. A Very Happy Mother's day to Minniedi and Barnalidi Same goes for many others - Sangeetadi, Priya Nair, Anitha.b, Bhabhiji(ritzbitz), Hardy, Choco, Pallavidi, Kavitadi, Gauridi, Varshadi, Sahana and many others. What comes to ones mind when one thinks of one's mother -- the love, care, compassion, the lap, the lullaby, the pampering, the rebukes, the chit chats, the arguments, their cooking, their home making skills, their patience -- every emotion that is synonymous with the word 'Maa' or 'Mother' is being celebrated in this song/qawwali. Each one of us would surely get connected to the song in some way or the other I know. I dedicate this to all the moms -- Because they are the same, their affection and care for their child is the same -- irrespective of country, state, religion or language. This is a dedication on behalf of all those who are with their moms and all those who are missing their mom's this Mother's day (and always). Friends, value their presence as long as they are with you. Those who are not so lucky, cherish and treasure and relive the memories for as long as you live!!! Hi bhaiya-this is an awesome post.sorry but your post made me cry...after all i am mother too and know that all mothers are same at heart when it comes to their own child.Kudos to your mom was being such a braveheart.I am missing my mother (who is in India) a lot today.

When I read ur story, I almost had tears in my eyes..

Here is something that I want to share..

When I was preparing for my Engg. entrance exams, I used to get up very early in the morning to go for tutorials. I never used to wake her up, but then as usual she will wake up along with me to prepare my breakfast, lunch though she had an eye operation..

During my engineering days: while I m getting ready for my college, she will put my breakfast on table, however I used to run off saying I m getting late.. My mom used to come outside carrying the plate and feeding me so that I dont leave home without eating...😳

All these things were overlooked by me and used to take everything for granted until I came here and started living on my own.....I do miss every minute I spent with her and everything that she did for me sacrificing her life......

Here are some lines that I find beautiful to decribe Maa...

aye Maa teri surat se alag, bhagvaan ki surat kya hogi.

Umm im nt really dat close 2 my mum (Im, but im more close to my dad) but yes mothers are the most imp person in our life whether we accept id or not and Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers around the world, my mum and all the moms at IF!! We love u all! 😃

Mother is the life of every individual. If there is someone closest to your heart it is your mother. Mothers understand everything even before we say a thing we know that she has understood what we want to say. Mothers are the greatest gift of God. I will always maintain this one line in my life that since God cannot be everywhere he has given everyone a mother. And if there is heaven on earth it is not in Kashmir but in the feet of a mother. Mothers are a great wonder at times you wont even realize that she has fulfilled your wish before even you telling her anything. Mothers are the one to worry for us when we are in trouble and share our happiness when we are happy. She is the one who passes sleepless nights when we are ill when we study for exams. You will never find a friend better than your mother with whom you share all your secrets mothers are the one who give you apt solutions to even the weiredst of your problems.

People think mothers scold a lot and my mother even scolds me which firstly makes me sad but then i realize what is said and done is for my own good she always thinks about my own happiness and my well being she has no illfeelings for me in her heart.

I will say my mum is God to me and i love her very much. I dont say this to her pretty often but i and even she knows that I can even give my life for her. She is the worlds greatest gift to me. I am blessed to have a mother like her.

I love you Mom and i will love you all my life. Whatever I am it is because of you. Without you i would have been nothing thank you for being there for me.

To all the mothers of IF specially Barnali Di love you loads too and Happy Mother's day to you.

Now that I am also mom of a 4 year old naughty boy.....I have realised importance of being a mom. Its very easy for a mom to sacrifice for her child. We don't even feel that we are sacrificing something.....

Luckily, I am very close to my mom to talk to her everyday. She has always been my best friend......god bless my Mom and Dad.....and everyone's Mom-Dad on the forum......

I've always prided myself in being "daddy's girl"... But bro you really showed me just HOW important a mother is, and made me realise how much mothers are probably doing without our knowledge... Extremely sorry about your mother, but really, your love for her shows that that love itself keeps her alive...
