Anpi Prayansh Aransh FF - Swapnakoodu
Well Mehu, it is very interesting indeed... We have a Murti at home that we do Puja for each day in the morning and evening.
A huge murti ( 5 x size of an 8 yr old) is made of natural materials (paper mache, etc) and brought into the mandir on Ganesh Chauth. Satsang is held every day and Darshan is taken. Lardva (laddu) is made and offered everyday and the murti is bathed, cleaned and dressed in lovely silk and brocade clothing. Next week (7 days after Ganesh Chauth) a procession is held where all Ganpati bhaktas walk to the beach from the mandir with Ganpati carried on a rath or men's shoulders, depending on the weather.
At the beach the Visarjan of Ganpati Dada is held and we all bid farewell to Bapa and thank him for accepting our hospitality over the week and for blessing us over these days.
Thats about it... then everyone who has been fasting, go back and feast on brahm bhojan š
Why don't you come over to SA, we shall celebrate the Visarjan and you can experience it with us all here... Ganapati Bapa Moriya! š
