This invocation from Bhartṛhari's Vairāgyaśataka isn't about Dīpāvali, but I think it fits the occasion:

Cūḍo'ttaṃsita-cāru-candra-kalikā-cañcac-chikhā-bhāsuro

Līlā-dagdha-vilola-Kāma-śalabhaḥ śreyo-daśā'gre sphuran

Antaḥ-sphūrjad-apāra-moha-timira-prāgbhāram uccāṭayaṃś

Cetaḥ-sadmani yogināṃ vijayate jñāna-pradīpo Haraḥ

Brilliant with the dancing flame of the lovely new moon adorning His hair-knot,

Easily burning the inattentive Love-moth, flickering at the tip of the wick of betterment,

Dispelling the front of impassable darkness of confusion bursting within,

In the mind-house of Yogins, the lamp of knowledge, Hara (Śiva) is victorious.

The metre is Śārdūlavikrīḍita.
