If you only believe thats the keyword

Garuda Puran was read during my dad, grandad death rituals,so for me it matters and it holds a significant to death and after death

I can't say for the others of their believe so if you came across one its your choice

I can't say if there is life after death. But, one thing for sure, we will die. We are mortals whose given an opportunity to enjoy the life here in Earth. Thus, we must used it wisely because we only live once.
