Young Adult

Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds"smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Romance

An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life--until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah.
But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else.

Historical Romance

The year is 1945. Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach"an "outlander""in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord...1743.

Paranormal

Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth.Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens

Classics

When Elizabeth Bennet first meets eligible bachelor Fitzwilliam Darcy, she thinks him arrogant and conceited; he is indifferent to her good looks and lively mind. When she later discovers that Darcy has involved himself in the troubled relationship between his friend Bingley and her beloved sister Jane, she is determined to dislike him more than ever.

Mystery

A murder mystery, family saga, love story, and a tale of financial intrigue wrapped into one satisfyingly complex and entertainingly atmospheric novel.

Sci-Fi

The Earth is dying.
Darrow is a Red, a miner in the interior of Mars. His mission is to extract enough precious elements to one day tame the surface of the planet and allow humans to live on it.
The Reds are humanity's last hope.

Comedy

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York's most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He'll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that's not really true.

A great writer is capable of engaging the reader right from the opening sentence. In each Newsletter, we will share with you readers aphorisms or sentences deserving special attention!

"People can lose their lives in libraries. They ought to be warned."
by Saul Bellow

"Sometimes an understanding silence was better than a bunch of meaningless words."
by Mia Sheridan (Archer's Voice)

"You can forget what people said and did, but you never forget how they made you feel. You can forgive the people who hurt you, but you will remember what they taught you."

by J.C. Reed ( Conquer your love)

Question everything. Your love, your religion, your passion. If you don't have questions, you'll never find answers."

By Colleen Hoover (Slammed)

What kind of reader are you?

Omnivorous or specialist in your favorite genre? Do you love the triumph of imagination or do you prefer the story based on real life? Do you think the most important thing is "what" you write, or"how" you write it?

Through a few simple questions, in this section we will know each other better from time to time!

___

The third Bookaholic
to sit on this hot seat

is none other than

-TheekhiMishti-

1) A Book you couldn't finish?

In recent times- after you. WHY OH WHY DID MOYES HAVE TO GO AHEAD AND RUIN IT *goes on an unending rant* . Other than that A thousand splendid suns - two depressing even for a sadist like me.

2) Series or Stand alone's?

I have trust issues with series since most of the writers ruin their great work when given a chance to write more so I prefer stand alone's.

3) Favourite Genre?

I don't have a favorite I read anything as long as it tells a good intriguing story with decent grammar and writing skills *Grammar Nazi Alert* . I prefer books without much graphic details though- keep the imagination to imagining ;)

4) A Book That doesn't Deserve The Hate it Got?

You can't please everyone I might hate a book everyone loves. Pass 😆

5) Funniest Book?

Me before you - for the sarcastic humor.
Harry potter - because I haven't smiled and laughed as much reading any book.

6) Character Who you liked first then hated?

Alexander of "The bronze horseman". Loved in first book hated in second and third. Another reason why I don't like series they ruin the essence of characters. He became such a chauvinist from the Perfect Alpha male that he was. *spoiler alert* Plus I detest cheaters no matter what the circumstances, could never connect to him ever since. But damn that book - the first one was worth the read ❤️ Romance like never before.!!

7) Villian that you would date?

Why would I date a villain when I can date my Will or my Asher? Silly question 😆

8) The first book you read?

I started off with a lot of famous books just to see what they were about but the book that i read through and through in one night was - The Alchemist. Paulo coelho is a magician with words. I even remember the date I read that book -25th may. That book showed me how amazing books could be as companions and there was no turning back after that. !!

9) Book that you wouldn't save in a fire?

I don't remember the book it is stashed somewhere in the store in my house. But damn everytime i read it, I felt my head was spinning and it gave me a banging headache. It was about some girl who lived in a hill station with her grandfather or something and crushed on her guitar teacher- this was explained in 100 pages in excruciatingly boring details -_____-

10) The one author from whom you own/have read everything

Cecelia Ahern. One author I blindly trust. I've read 80% of her work planning to read it all soon. Love how every book of hers is so fresh and different. Her writing style is so simple yet she makes you believe in magic in the simplest things. Her 100 names, If you could see me now, Love rosie, book of tommorrow, thanks for the memories basically all her books i've read have a special place in my heart.

11)Do you have to visualize characters as you read?

I don't visualise characters. Can't imagine faces 😆 but sometimes the writing is so beautiful that the scenes paints itself before your eyes and that is when you know the book has doomed you for life cause that scene never leaves you. Whenever you think of the book you get those flashes.
