Things get unsettled after, Louisa Clark, a 26-year-old less-qualified woman in terms of a job aspirant, loses her job in local cafe The Buttered Bun'. She, having a little hope, heads down to Job Center where the job center assistant offers her a quite decent 'care assistant's job for a quadriplegic 35-year-old man Will Traynor, whose life had turned upside down two years ago when he had met a fatal road accident.

The duo jell & Will begins to be more communicative and open-minded because of Louisa. She gets to know about Will's suicide attempt which happened when his mother accepted his wish to end his life through Dignitas, an assisted dying organization. Will has given up on life and Louisa is determined to change his mind. Her limited ambitions frustrates intelligent and practical Will. As the story progresses & the couple begins to feel for each other, Louisa being first to confess her love during a trip to Mauritius. Will recognizes that he is still going to end his life through Dignitas. Both of them are unaware of the change that they're going to make to the other's life..forever..

Moyes's witty and spirited writing will keep you hooked till the end.. She did full justice with Will & Lou. She made them strong and vulnerable, lively and depressed, enchanting and gloomy at the same time, tossing between shades constantly.
