I was impressed that you chose such an atmospheric song. By that I mean that the mood it elicits is a significant part of its charm. It is a simple melody and rhythm but the difficulty comes in trying to evoke emotion, because otherwise this could sound very flat. Therefore, I was delighted that you chose to make this song your own; adding your own tone and mood which was heart wrenching, beautiful. That is saying something in itself but another personal note is that the original is sung by a favourite and very much underrated singer, whose voice never fails to captivate me. Still, I found your version worthy of such commendation.

Your pace is contrastingly much slower, which added much poignancy. However importantly, it allowed you to add much more depth than the original. For instance that emoting @0:10. This embellishment, or rather fine embroidery really lifts the song to another level. Excellently done.

The flow of your songs has improved so much. I loved that gradual but distinctive dip from 0:24 until @0:28 you add a subtle raise; which accentuates those shifts of nuances within the lyrics. Genius!

I am sure that many have commented on that wonderful emotion @0:54-57, but I too will add my praise. Beautiful. The following movement from 1:00 to 1:13, was seamless and that dip seguing onto that lull in the quiet deep @1:21-34 was well done.

Again you bring in that next movement @1;35 onwards so seamlessly, and catch every note, creating much dynamic to the whole song WHICH considering that this is acappella is wonderful.

You captured that angst and yearning for those pivotal lyrics from tujhse hi roothnaa...manaana &
Tera mera naata... jaana It was well done.

That end was superb. I don't know the technical term for that type of ending, but I have heard them often in classical songs, those subtle elongations which change upon the intuition of the singer but it was perfect, you perfected each note. Finely done.

I don't think that this song is your strongest but it was a worthy effort and ranks above amateurish. It was a skilled and commendable rendition. You should be very happy. With love, Sabah
