I'm liking the dias on the sides of my screen (:

We get together as a family and buy new things for our house and ourselves. We cook special stuff like gajar ka halwa :D. We thank God for everything and pray for the future. Diwali time is family time but we gamble sometimes (I'm too young to go to a casino but hey I play the lotto.)

For those people who live in India, you guys get off, lucky.

So pretty much the usual. Dias all over the house, wasting electricity by lighting up all the lights in my house! :P
Erm and obviously sparklers and fireworks. I love disrupting the peace in my neighbourhood and pretty much everyone knows its Diwali. lol :P
and then obviously go visit family and friends, get loads of gifts and eat loadsaa nice food (wow, i'm gonna end up fatter than I am after diwali lol). Oh and yeah, pay a visit to my local Mandir too. :)
Ah man I'm so jealous of those in India! :( They get a day off for Diwali! and maybe even today for Dhanteras and Indian New Year this Monday? Hope you guys have a blast! I feel sorry for the elders who won't be getting any sleep thanks to the fireworks going off ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG! wohoo! :P
Bring on Diwali weekend! :D
