Tum Aa Gaye ho, Noor Aa gaya hai...

Nahi toh Chiragon se Lau Ja Rahi thi...

The shell of the indomitable ex don of Hyderabad, walking the path of self self-destruction, was meticulously cracked open to free the earnest soul scrunched inside the hard cover. He bled but as he did, he started to liberate himself from the clutches of pain that had tied him up. Years of captivation resulted in marks on his psyche which emerged as insecurities, fear of abandonment, continuous need of acceptance and ignorance of failure lest the ones besides leaves him again for his shortcomings.

“To love is to be afraid. You are frightened, deathly terrified, that something will happen to those you love. [...] And love enslaves us all, for you cannot have love without fear.”

Marie Lu

This is where Raghav stands today. Incinerating in his own misery. Pallavi is the balm to his soul. Yet today, he fears to let her see this scar, fearing the scar will reveal the taint which will rob him of her. To buy him a lifetime with her, he's accepting a life of deceit, the one he has always hated. He's selfish because his love for her makes him selfish. He can't let her go. He knows that will be the end of him. And to prolong his life, he's accepting this prolonged suffering where he'll kill a part of him everyday in pit fires of his guilt.

Bohut Shukriya badi Meherbani...

Meri Zindagi main Huzoorr aap Aaye...

She lived a life in oblivion. Lived for others and paid the price to just belong to someone or be a part of the family. And yet when it came to trusting her, the same people she died for, shunned her. They played her, like vultures fed on her spirit. She kept fighting and they kept rejoicing. For years this is how Pallavi was. Lived for others and protected her clan, taking as many arrows on her and yet smiled like a radiant sun. And then one dark night, she met this dark knight! Strange, in her darkest hour, life pulled her to light. The journey was not easy but she found home. She found love. She found a real family. A place where she was the real queen.

"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."

–Emily Brontë

This is what Raghav's love is for Pallavi. He's a part of her. She breathes for him and he's her world.

When I think about why I fell in love with Pallavi and Raghav, it was always because, they were never perfect. Their journey wasn't meant to be a fairytale. It was of trials and tribulations. It was about the falls and rises. So now when there is a stumble, I don't have it in my heart to abandon them. Because, they are still the same love that they have always been. Same scarred souls looking for solace.

Every action brings a reaction, thats the law of karma... and so will Raghav bear the fruit of what he's sown. But what still makes me root and pine for him is his intent. The mere presence of Lungi Wala Raghav, is the evidence of his clear conscience. Angels and demons don't exists in the parallel domains... they exist within us... Yet, shutting your demons to let the voice of pristine ring clear in your head is the corroboration of goodness within one.

Pallavi on the other hand is everything that Raghav is not. Her strength of character and her sense of judgment is very clear where she navigates everything between black and white. But love has its own definitions. There is a storm lurking at her doorstep. The one, that is going to break her and shake her innate quality to trust. None of the path she chooses is going to be easy for her. And yet, no matter which path she takes, her heart will always beat for Raghav. Trust, Love and forgiveness is the strength of ones character, it doesn't render anyone weak. I don't propose what path Pallavi takes, but there is a prism that is going to turn the beam to a rainbow.

"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."

If you ask me to describe the relationship of Raghvi, I will use the below words.

She is the calm to his storms and he's the wind beneath her wings

Raghvi are quite similar in a lot of aspects yet different in their thought process and approach to life. Both of them led very difficult lives until their paths crossed. They very lonely. Both of them would give up their lives just to see their families happy and safe. A ton of love to give to those who matter but unfortunately they received none in return.

Till they found each other

They had no expectations of receiving any love, after all, life had never been fair to them, they never had anything easy. They always had to struggle to even get a drop of love and acceptance. But once they found each other, they found an ocean of love in return.

One day love will come in the form of somebody who wants to give more than take and you will know why love is rare.

Mark Anthony

Raghav was in a dark place and was struggling with insecurities and abandonment issues. Violence and alcohol became his support system. It was her who brought him out of the dark place because she was light herself. She made him want to be a better person. With her, he knew his life had meaning, it had direction. She made his house, a home. She gave him back his family that he craved for so long. She was his dream which he never thought would come true.

And in those moments when you feel afraid to trust love, remember that I have crossed a great ocean of lonliness to find you. Mine is not a fair weather heart. It was built to outlast storms.

John Green

Similarly, Pallavi is a giver. She is a beautiful soul who only sees the goodness in people, even those who hurt her. But she was lonely, she wanted to belong, to be special to someone. She wanted to have a place that was hers, her own, her home. With him, she knew she received a family which she craved for, she was her own self and did not have to please anyone. She had the freedom and the rights, she was the queen of his life, his heart and his kingdom.

I'll kiss every scar that's been planted on your heart and love you for who you are.

This is the couple I stan, this is the love I root for. Two broken hearts who found in each other, everything that they dreamt of. It is easy to let go but difficult to hold on. How can you leave a love so pure, a person that is the very existence of your being, a person whose soul heals yours. They were two halves that became whole when they came together.

And there's a reason why you can't walk away,

There's a reason why you stay,

It is because we belonged to each other from the start.

You don't know this but we secretly rescue each other from life, from love, from everything.

Your soul and my soul are the same,

We exist in each other.

And the only thing scarier than staying is leaving

Because our souls already know we could never part.

RESRESRES.

Thanks a ton Ren my love🤗

Unres.

First things firsts. You read Marie Lu? Dude Legend had me bawling like a baby. Young Elites isn't a favorite but uff this quote. AND MAYA ANGELOU? I knew I was going to love this post just seeing her name. And I did.

"...she was lovely and brave and better than anything he deserved...he was twisted, crooked, wrong, but not so broken that he couldn't pull himself together into some semblance of a man for her"

- Leigh Bardugo

Why did I fall in love with Pallavi and Raghav? Every time a new track is introduced, I always find myself wondering what it is that makes me love them like this. Is it because I see parts of me in both of them? Is it because they're flawed? Is it because they often struggle with the most basic things? Is it because despite all their baggage, shortcomings, errors and failures, they never give up, they never stop trying and stand resilient in the face of all adversities, even if it's breaking them inside? I don't think I can point out a specific reason for why I love them, but I do. There are things that they do that go against my own rules, and yet I love them, because we all break our rules for someone. Pallavi does too, and so does Raghav. They'll break the rules a 1000 times over and burn down the world a 100 times more if it means saving and protecting the other. What lies ahead of them? I don't know, but I do know that I'm in no position to decide what Pallavi should or shouldn't do, what Raghav should or shouldn't do. I can only hope they do the right thing but when has doing the right thing ever been easy, especially in this messy, nuanced love that these two polar opposites share?

When we love someone, we willingly hand over a weapon to that person, our kryptonite. We do it knowing that they could use it to kill us but hoping/believing that they wouldn't. It hurts when that hope and faith is shaken, it's enough for anyone to come undone. I am counting on Pallavi's unraveling, and like you said, it will happen no matter which path she chooses. Looking at their predicament, nothing will be the same when the truth comes out (whether Raghav is being tricked or not), except for that one fact: they love each other. No matter what, they will continue to do so. Raghav's amma once said, marriage is a perfect relationship that consists of lots of imperfections and chaos. This moment is just one of those. This is a crucible for their relationship and love, and crucibles are never easy but they will survive this too.

Such emotions of Raghav and Pallavi so implicitly and beautifully written. Yes a prospective of both and the heart break....I just want Raghav to be Raghav the One who hates lies and deceits..even if he chooses E over Pallavi because I think in upcoming episodes we will see Raghav choosing E over Pallavi...but he should come clean...love is very difficult to understand....Today Raghav love for Pallavi sincerely looks hollow as his actions don't match his words of I love you Pallavi....I have no idea of you have past or 1st love whether you are ever able to get over it. In the present case it appears Raghav loves E more as she is his first love....no hard feelings but that he should not trap Pallavi in his guilt set her free...you cannot have cake and eat it too...I want this real Raghav to come out o really don't know whose Raghav it will be E or Pallavi....but the truth should be out. Delusional relationships are worst. Pallavi here is an innocent party. Let her heart break but no robbing her dignity. Because today Raghav is doing exactly that. I will not curse Raghav because to love a person or not it is not a mental strength game. But Raghav needs to choose whether it is E or Pallavi

And the past should get a closure. He hated E with such intensity that itself shows that He was never over E. Love is complicated. Hope Raghav truly listens to his heart and chooses what his heart wants. Even if that would cause heartbreak to Pallavi it is ok. She can rebuild her life...but zRaghav please choose. Whether he confesses about his adultery or not will not have any bearing if he really loves E and chooses her. But he should decide and not be like a pendulum between E and Pallavi.

I would really not mind his choice ultimately true live should triumph than why Raghav choosing E will be bad if she is his true love.

Raghav choose your heart's calling and please don't humiliate Pallavi sny futhrr by behaving like a selfish person. She too has right to live life with her self respect and love if any.

Raghav be brave and choose your Love.

Heartbreaking journey but I want both Raghav and Pallavi to lead a life of truth and not illusions.....

Indeed. He's so accustomed to abandonment that he often goes against his better judgment and makes poor choices because he fears being left alone all over again.

This is where Raghav stands today. Incinerating in his own misery. Pallavi is the balm to his soul. Yet today, he fears to let her see this scar, fearing the scar will reveal the taint which will rob him of her. Exactly this. He can't lose her; point, blank, period. He no longer knows how to breathe without her and he much rather suffer in shame and guilt every single day with her than live a life void of her. He's not acting on impulse, he's acting on fear.

She lived a life in oblivion. Lived for others and paid the price to just belong to someone or be a part of the family. And yet when it came to trusting her, the same people she died for, shunned her. They played her, like vultures fed on her spirit. She kept fighting and they kept rejoicing. Strange, in her darkest hour, life pulled her to light. The journey was not easy but she found home. She found love. She found a real family. A place where she was the real queen.

She found home. Home is a place where we belong, a place we always want to return to, a place where we feel the most true to ourselves. Both Amma and Keerti accepted Pallavi on their own terms, without any ulterior motive. She made a place in their hearts all on her own and vice versa. Raghav came in the picture as her spouse much later and even still, his home never shunned her. He never closed his doors to her. His family and his mansion was always home for her.

Precisely! I fell in love with them for the same reason and I can't leave them for the same reason as well. Their love story and their character traits are so relatable, that it's hard not to see bits and pieces of yourself and your relationship in them.

Every action brings a reaction, that's the law of karma... and so will Raghav bear the fruit of what he's sown.

I've been meaning to write about Lungi Wala Raghav as well. It speaks volumes about Raghav's conscience and his intent. Furthermore, the fact that Raghav panics every time Pallavi tries to be intimate with him and the fact that he hasn't reached for her face/hair in days goes to show how deeply he regrets what he (apparently) did. Raghav always emotes with his actions, not his words, and his actions show that he cannot fathom touching his wife with the same hands that wronged her. He cannot offer himself to her physically when he had the audacity to share himself with someone other than her.

Absolutely! Surprisingly, I don't have a strong opinion on whether she should forgive him or not either. I typically would if this was a different show or different leads, but my heart can't bear Raghav's suffering and at the same time, it can't fathom Pallavi submitting to an apparently cheating (for lack of a better word) spouse.

"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."

–Maya Angelou

I kept that quote because it pulled at my heartstrings. I often have this discussion in my marriage - to what extent does one keep loving, keep trusting, keep giving their partner the benefit of the doubt? When do you allow "one more time" for the last time? All rhetorical questions.

Hello! 🤗

Ren directed me to this post and I instantly fell in love. Penned my thoughts in purple.

I keep saying "apparent" because my theory is that Raghav did not sleep with Esha - he was framed by her or by her ex in some way or the other and therefore he is innocent. I don't excuse him from drinking with his ex though because I have a pretty hard stance on mingling with exes, whether they're good or bad. Similarly, I fault Pallavi for bringing said ex to her home.

I also keep referring to this show and this pair for the same reason as the rest of us. They're so damn unique and relatable that it's hard not to draw parallels in our own lives. This track is making me question my stance on "cheating" and hell, even my stance on indulging your ex. Raghav never got closure from Esha whereas Pallavi did get closure from Mandaar. She found out that he was a stalker and so she had no reason to ponder how different her life would've been had he been a part of it. Raghav on the other hand, irrespective of how immensely and uncontrollably he loves Pallavi, has reason to wonder how his life would've/could've been had Esha stuck around. Lack of closure from past relationships does a number on people and more often than not, we don't even know we're still looking for closure until our past pops up right in front of us. I'd like to believe I'm well past the point of seeking closure, but hey, if I ran into that person tomorrow, would I punch him in the face? Possibly (read: most definitely).
