You tell me, why would she take the responsibility of protecting someone's reputation that she's known for a few weeks versus someone's reputation that she's known for two years or even more?

Just like how she was willing to send Keerti to jail whom she knew for many years as her best friend and then as her sister in law for the death of Mandaar (whom she knew only for like may be 3 or 4 months or something?)

Look at Epi 74 where she clearly says that she is very lucky to have a mother in law like Amma..

In the episode before that she also takes the side of Amma when Aai rebukes her..

Pallavi taking Amma's side once does not automatically mean Amma has replaced Aai's role in Pallavi's life. Pallavi thinks of Aai as her real mother. So, my question still stands: why would she take the responsibility of protecting someone's reputation that she's known for a few weeks versus someone's reputation that she's known for two years or even more?

(in response to your previous post) I never pitted Pallavi against Amma -- I didn't claim one hates the other.

She hasn't known Keerthi for many years. She knew Keerthi after Mandaar died and after she started taking care of the shop. Then Keerthi became the accountant for the shop so she got to know her. And Pallavi MARRIED Mandaar. It doesn't matter if it was a marriage of 1 day or 10 years. Pallavi respected that relation and looked forward to a future, had dreams too. Those vanished because of Mandaar's supposed murderer. So, she has a right to dislike Keerthi and put her in jail.

And I was comparing two mother-in-laws (one who is like an actual mother to Pallavi). Here you are comparing a friend and a husband.

Nope... I'm comparing a sister in law and an ex husband who she didn't even spend a night with.

So according to you, she cared the reputation of Aai so much to the point that she didn't send sulo to jail.. Ok then what about the necklace case? In that case it was her father in law (Aai's husband) who was falsely accused of robbery.. Didn't she care about Aai's reputation at that time? Or are you now going to say that she cared more about Kaka's reputation than Aai's reputation? Are you going to say that she loved Kaka more than Aai when we clearly know that's NOT the case.

Nope, she cared about her family's reputation (mainly Aai, Kaka, and Nikhil) more than the Raos's reputation.

You need to go back through this thread and read my answer to the necklace case. I believe we've already discussed that and how she initially wanted to not let Sulochana Kaku go to jail because she knew Kaka would feel bad, but later discussed it with Raghav because Kaku deserved to be punished. The rest was in Raghav's hands.
