This was one of the most highly anticipated scene in the show and I am so glad it lived up to expectations. Sai's performance today was mindblowing and it broke my heart.
Pallavi is so in love with him, she doesn't even realize. Her soul has already recognized its mate in him, that's why she couldn't hold her emotions anymore and walked out of the room to cry in private.
Since Raghav was finally able to let out everything that was bottled up, I expect he would feel a bit more lighthearted. Keerti doesn't deserve his generosity and love as a brother, who after all this painful conversation, still shows up at Sunny's to protect her.
Sanki is losing his mind. I don't know why Ayi isn't there but she'd never let him do this if she could help it. Let's see if BWA does Raghav's work for him, though judging by the precap she's probably loving every minute of it. Somehow, revealing his past to Pallavi has unleashed the beast in Raghav and I am frankly glad to see his aggressive tone with Sanki. After what she learned about his Naana, I don't think she'd ever expect or allow Raghav to do what Sanki was asking for. Will be interesting to see what Raghav does because after the past is out, he will be even more determined to right his wrong with the Ds. I had a feeling he would insist on going back to living in that house, and that's what's happening.
I liked that Raghav for the first time spoke seriously and respectfully about Mandaar, and he's going to file that information away for later that Pallavi never got a chance to love him and that something else happened. I don't know why but I'm expecting her to break down a lot harder than what we saw of Raghav today.
Kudos to Sai and Shivangi for that execution. I only wish the Keerti and Sunny scenes had been left to next episode so that the flow wouldn't be disturbed but I get that they are trying to show that with all the problems around them Raghav and Pallavi still can't focus exclusively on herself.
Sai's performance today was mindblowing, it broke my heart. Upcoming episodes will be painful. I need a hug, my heart is hurting so bad.
Today's episode highlighted how great Sai and Shivangi are as performers. We went from the absolutely electric scenes with them, and then the Kirti/Sunny scenes fell completely flat in comparison. It's unbelievable sometimes that these two are newcomers. They can act circles around several ITV veterans.
I liked Raghav's backstory, and honestly, I liked that there is a genuine reason for Kirti and Jaya to blame him. It makes their anger and his guilt and the strained relationship a lot more palatable. I was worried they'd do something contrived where he was fully blameless, and it was all a misunderstanding. This also explains why Jaya believes his wealth is illegitimate, because that's the note it started on, and why Vijay's taanas on the same sting so badly.
Coming to Vijay...he's no longer redeemable. I really, really don't want Sharda or Pallavi to stop this madness. I hope Raghav puts an end to this. Pallavi already hit her threshold with this bullshit going on here last week, I am hoping this demand is what hits it for Raghav as well. Even without knowing his backstory, I doubt Pallavi would find this acceptable. Vijay seems to get off on humiliation. This really better be the last day of Raghav-at-the-Deshmukhs. Normally, he'd definitely realize that genuine reconciliation is no longer on the table, but I understand that his mind is not in the right place, and he's especially vulnerable and disturbed after today's talk, so I wish he'd just listen to Pallavi that reconciliation on these terms is not worth it. It may allow her back in that house, but this will never bridge the ever-widening emotional distance. I'll lose respect for the character if he keeps going back. At the same time, I wonder whether he's going to keep at it unless Pallavi releases him from the challenge...but that isn't how they should take the decision to not divorce. Uff, what a mess.
I loved what Pallavi said about not knowing how to respond after Mandaar's death, it's something I've wondered myself many times while watching. She never had time to form deep bonds with him, so yes, while the loss was extremely traumatic, she probably immersed herself in supporting Vijay and Sharda back then. I also think that her breakdown is inevitable, since I doubt she ever even processed her own emotions, because she'd have been mindful of the fact they were, in a way, dealing with a bigger loss- especially with Vijay's first heart attack happening around this time. At the same time, Vijay and Sharda diverted all their energies in shielding Pallavi from society and encouraging her to live a normal life. It gives some context on the unhealthily codependent dynamics we saw right from day one. I'm glad that the day they revealed Raghav's past, they sowed the seeds for Pallavi's past.
