I agree with whatever you have written here Jean, word by word so I don't want to repeat it but will share something I feel.
Are the CVS trying to break that bond of Amma and Raghav?
Or just they don't want to mend it really?
In that tattoo, there was no Raghav but Raghu and kirti. I feel that amma will never accept the Raghav Rao, she will always keep the teenager Raghu in her heart. She hasn't forgiven him, I'm sure of that but will she ever be able to? I'm not sure about this. And the connection Raghav and Aai having is something he wanted from Amma but never got. I think aai will soon take over the place of his amma.
Jaya Rao is a sanctimonious woman which is one of my most disliked trait in a person along with hypocracy. And I think Sunny was introduced for this purpose, to show her that she is wrong. Today he reminded me of Raghav and in the past Aai has asked if Jaya will ever marry kirti off to someone like Raghav and that's answer was clear so I think Sunny was needed for this, to show Jaya was everything is not going to happen according to her. I want to see how she and Raghav is going to react.
And there was a scene where Aai giving up her magalsutra for pallavi, I loved that scene and today it made more sense to me. She gave up those to give Pallavi, and she was someone who wanted marry pallavi off in the whole d family, and today in the absence of her husband aai kind of accepted Raghav as her SIL, which means she approved the marriage. When time comes she will stand up for her, Pallavi and Raghav against VD.
I loved how she held that watermelon with full rights and with posseeviness. I won't be surprised if she grew possessive of Raghav in future, and I'm worried what will happen to this bond when Mandaar returns than what will happen to Raghi.
Dekh lo, sis, we are both thinking exactly the same thing. Just like Amma's love appears conditional, her temporary patching up with him does feel that way too. It will take one storm for this temporary truce to become null and void. Yes, Sunny's behavior yesterday proved to me that he was brought in for the reasons you mentioned. He doesn't seem like a shareef ladka from a shareef, wholesome family that Jaya would have wanted for Keerti. I feel as if she got out lightly considering the major impact she had on her son's life by forcing him to marry Pallavi. Her conveniently thinking it was by mutual consent was just ridiculous. Ab bhugte gi. She tells Raghav he doesn't get duniyadaari but I feel in many ways she's in a bubble of her own and hasn't learned to see beyond her anger, that things have changed and will continue to change. She will never accept Raghav Rao, she wants a 27 year old version of her 17 year old and I think with time we'll see the philosophical differences emerge that caused them to diverge a decade ago in the first place. She loves Raghav, but her pride gets in the way of letting go some of her prejudices.
I, too, hope Ayi fights for Raghav and always stands by him but she has to think of Sanki's health, and I don't blame her. If he were fit and fine, she would have openly accepted Raghav. Whatever... Raghav and she have this in common, they believe in words more than actions, especially when it comes to expressing their love and respect for people. Today's episode proved that again. Raghav has always recognized the mother in Ayi, he always treated her differently and with huge respect, even if he never interacted with her directly before. Even in the party when he was maligning Pallavi, his tone of voice and expression changed when he approached Ayi to ask about the shop's papers. He also noticed how she fought with Pallavi on the wedding day to tell her she would stand by her and would start a new life with her if necessary. She wasn't afraid to go against Raghav if it meant protecting Pallavi. These things leave an impact and the more I observe their dynamics the more I realize that Raghav is missing this big time from Amma.
That's the thing with biological relationships - you don't get to choose them, and you need to accept people as they are. Raghav does accept his Amma, he doesn't try to change her thinking and never forced her to accept him. Rather, he tried to change a little for her sake but something tells me he will be back to being RR and even more dangerous than before when he loses his patience with everything. Amma is forcing him to go against his nature. He's an adult, there's only so much he can adapt and bend. Also, we all know that no matter how much Amma threatened and coerced him, he wouldn't change for anyone unless he himself really wanted to. We saw that when he started to repent - more than for Amma and Pallavi, he did this for himself, to give himself another chance in life.
I never thought the watermelon gesture would have so much meaning and the way Ayi kept staring at it later, not letting Milind touch it even, was just endearing to watch. It was just for Raghav's sake and even if she didn't explicitly say so, it was pretty clear. Nice touch by writers. I want to see more such meaningful scenes instead of constant melodrama. It was refreshing.
