Boo is waiting for Kanmani and Kanmani comes rushing. Asks him why he asked her to come. Boo says that he understands that she is still angry with him and accepts that he has made mistakes and has behaved in a way no husband would behave. He goes on to say that he is willing to fall at her feet and wants her to forget the past and accept her. Keeping Viji in mind Kanmani asks how to forget the past and Boo says there is no relation between him and Viji and that now only Kanmani is his life. Kanmani asks him how can he accept and reject at his whim.
Boo promises that he will stop drinking and live with her as a good man. Kanmani asks him to leave her alone. Boo tries to hold her hand to persuade her but Kanmani tries to disengage her hands for fear someone will see. Boo says that he is still her husband. kanmani thinks that it is too late now. Finally she says "pattadellam podum ala vidunga" and goes away.
Maniac in the office surrounded by Devi and her co-worker who harasses her despite Devi being in love with someone else. Megs (her presence in this incident romba mukkiyamđ) and Samy are also there. Megs is persuading the girl not to quit and is asking Maniac to take action.Samy time and again sides with Megs saying its wrong to love someone who is in love with someone else. Maniac maintains a stoic silence and on being pestered by Megs says he may have done without knowing. Megs almost pounces on him saying that he did this despite knowing that the girl loved someone else. As a girl another girlkkaga I am asking you to take serious action. Maniac obliges to give suspension order for 2 days and dismisses them. Megs is surprised 2 nalaaa??đ Maniac assures that he wont do anything. They leave and Maniac asks Samy to ask Devi's lover Sekar to meet him in person.
At the police Station, Santhanam and Padma weeping bitterly and saying that their onne onnu kanne kannu daughter has been killed unjustly. Inspector asks if they suspect anybody. They blame Boo for everything. Inspector wants more details and Santhanam says that Boo was someone already married and that he told them a lie that he is divorced and they were not ready to get their daughter married to him (vaai koosamale poi solrane aduvum ponnaiyum tholacchittu) in second marriage. He forced us and we got her married to him. Padma adds that the first wife also came back and started to harass their daughter (kaadu kannu mookku vecchi pudusa illa irukku kadhai) They say that after their daughter conceived Boo tried to convince her to abort the child and she refused, He came back pretending to have changed in to a new leaf but gave her abortion pills and the baby was aborted. In the fight that followed, he kicked her and threatened that he would finish her off. Police Inspector asks him if what he is saying is true and Santhanam adicchu solraru that it is the truth. Police leave to Boo's house.
Police van at Danda's doorstep. All are surprised. Thamarai asks why police is here. Inspector asks for Boo saying there is a complaint against him. Thamarai jumps to a conclusion that Viji must have complained and says its our family matter and that she has gone away to her parents house in anger. Inspector says Viji is dead and that they suspect Boo to have killed her. All are shocked. Danda says Boo is not like that he is very good and wouldnt have done. (baby mattum dhan abort pannuvarakkum, periya jeevaththayellam kolla maattaaru). Police go in to the house looking for Boo. Boo (hiding inside the house)who was listening to all that was transpiring in the living room runs to mottai maadi and jumps out to escape. Police men come down unable to find him at home. Inspector asks danda to send Boo to the Police station when he returns home and the police leave a wailing Danda and family.
