April 16th Thursday Update:

Update for Wednesday 22 April

Kavitha, Sezhi and Athai. Sezhi asks for the 2 lakhs Kavi's father gave him. She asks why. Athai says men will have hundreds of expenses. Kavi asks Athai not to interfere. Sezhi says he wants to give it to the guy who visits their house and that his father Kalaiarasu owed him some money. Kavi says she gave it to Thilaga family for Shakti's valakaappu. Athai is furious and asks why she dint ask Sezhi's permission. Though Sezhi is ok with the money being given to his family Athai is angry and says she should ask him even if she wants throw the money into kuppai. 😆Kavi asserts that as the only son and daughter-in-law they should help them. Athai reminds kavi that she was the one who got them married and spent her money and leaves angrily saying she will see how long this will go on.

Santhanam and Padma. Supera thoongi ezhundu, tiffinu kkaga vandirukkaru. Pacchai thanniyellam kudichu boru.. badam pista kudikka ketkaraaru... 😆Padma doesnt want to cook and they want to buy food from a big hotel. Menu is moghlai biryani, chicken kabab and fish fry. Santhanam wants to leave looking neat. Knock on the door and Padma quickly reminds him they are supposed to be grieving their daughter's death and they try to put on a disheveled look before opening the door. Police at the door. Inspector goes in to the oppari of Padma and wailing of Santhanam. Police says they want them come to the station for visaranai. They wail loudly and santhanam says they havent had a drop of water or a wink of sleep and that his wife is going crazy as she refuses to believe her daughter is dead. Police promises to get Boo death penalty. Padma agrees Boo should be hanged and the Police leave and immediately they stop acting like they are grieving.

Tamarai sauntering in with fruits (apple and oranges) apparently for Boo who will be brought to the court next day. Her husband taunts her for showing so much paasam for her brother like this. Danda agrees with him and kolambifies 2 pillai petthu onnu muttal onnu moradu 😆(hey what happened to his eldest son who lives separately.. oru pillaiyai marande poitare???)

Entry Tilaga and Patti. Tamarai welcomes them and offers them fruits. They come in and say they have come to invite them for Valakaapu. Danda agrees to take care of all the ceremonies as an elder brother to Tilaga. Tamarai is specially invited too. Tamarai and Kanmani go in to make fish kuzhambu for the guests.

Diwa and his parents. Diwa tells them about Tilaga and Patti's visit and that he informed them of the valakkaappu date. Says he wants to apply for leave as he has a lot of things to do. Durga wonders what work does he have?? He replies he has to invite people and help make 5 kinds of rice.. pulisadam thengai saadam etc....😆 Durga is irritated. Father tries to say Tilaga family will take care of all this. Diwa says they said so but he agreed to do and they offered to pay. Parents talk of morai and stuff. After Diwa leaves Durga continues to say that they dont know what they should do for their daughter and says she will just watch quietly all the kootthu that is happening.

Thursday April 23rd Update:

Friday 24/4/09 Episode No 476

Maniac and samy - getting ready for water beating. Samy, the
bartender is mixing - periya 5 star hotel bartender mathiri -
and as usual talks within himself - " summa oru udhaar vittu
paakkaren, Lachu kitte I spilled the beans apdi nnu...let me
see how he reacts..." Goes to maniac with the glasses and asks
"what do u think about me?" Maniac echoes Roja's sentiments -
"why should I think about you? it is a waste of time" Samy tells
maniac that Lachu insisted on knowing maniac's blue eyed girl
and so he told her the truth -'antha ponnu Megs than nnu sollitten"
Maniac is livid with anger - Samy becomes a cloth in maniac's hands -
adichu, thuvaichu, alasi pizhiyaraar - Samy rolls on the floor, cries
and tells maniac that he was just kidding -" just wanted
to see how u react..!!" Now maniac stops his dharma adis and tells
Samy that it is not the time to tell the truth -"please understand
my feelings (?????!!!!!!! - Ramayana kaalathu Raavanan seeking
justice for his actions??!!!)

Court - Loosu chose this place for today's mooking - Danda, Loosu
and Angu waiting outside for the royal arrival. Danda offers
" Coffee, tea or me" to Angu who refuses all the three in the same order
- "ipdi oru pillayai pethu court vasalile nikkarom...ithu thaan koraichal"
Loosu mooks her way and consoles MIL and FIL - their advocate arrives
and Danda wants to know the status of the case. Advocate says that the
case is strong and Viji's letter to the police sealed moron's fate. Just then
a car comes - Viji and parents - the driver is dispensed with so that the trio
can watch the drama. (che... not even tinted glass for the car windows....
.Viji does not sport a big black mole on her face so that the world can not
recognize her... the parents do not have even a pardha........ennayya kodumai??)
Loosu shows her intelligence by giving points to the advocate - :sir,, antha
letter vishayam le time sync aagalai... people who plan for a suicide
(suicide aa??? petrol oothi murder nnu thaane case??!!) are very emotional,
normally. I cant imagine that Viji wrote that letter at 6am and then committed
suicide". Advocate now has to establish that he did a law degree after all -
"she could have posted the letter the previous night!!!!" Loosu still feels that
some thing is not right. At this juncture, the Royal procession arrives and
moron comes with Z division escorts - Viji and parents watch with glee.
Finally Viji deems it fit to cover her face...gets the window down so that
they can hear the cootchi cooing of moron with his family. Angu cries ..
moron says that she should not cry -" it should be me, ipdi oru amma kku
poranthuttu how can I be so bad? I deserve this punishment" Loosu consoles
the whole lot by her mooking... Viji and co are delighted....

Tilaga and paatti visit Kavi and Muzhi - a warm welcome - even Kavi's
dad is nice but still bites and spits his words. Tilaga informs about QBS
' bangle protection..generally congenial atmosphere
( namba mudiya villai villai villai...BG by Roja) Finally Tilaga and paatti
are invited for lunch.

Court - advocate informs that the judge has ordered police custody -
" can take him out on bail after that" Angu sheds some tears "police
custody?? they may thattufy him mutti kki mutti??" (Angu, keep quiet,
Roja is waiting for that golden opportunity ....yethanum solli thadukka
paarthe...apram Roja un mele oru false case pottu, unnaiyum abacus
training kku anuppiduvaaa....beware) Advocate confirms that police
custody comes with its own fringe benefits -"apdi ipdi thaan irukkum.."
Moron comes out and Loosu mooks -"do not worry, we will get u out on
bail.." Moron is scared - police custody pathi nalla therinjavan naan -
asks Loosu whether it is possible and loosu confirms. Moron says that
he wants to fall at Loosu's feet and beg for mercy.....Viji's dad hides
behind a pillar and listens to all this drama..goes to the car and reports
to Viji -" all of them including moron are scared but this Loosu talks as
if she owns the whole judiciary......will get u out on bail nnu moron kku
dairiyam solra..." Viji roars "ava epdi baille eudkkara nnu pakkaren...'

Update for 29th April Wednesday

Kalai arasu hears Anbu talk to Megala and assumes Megala is behind the ordeal he is going through. Anbu tells Murugan to take care and let him die if he wants to. Murugan also for his part threatens him and Kalai tells himself that he should escape come what may (and take revenge on Megs).

Pecchi comes running to Danda and tells him that a certain Kanniyappan cleared the debts vaddiyum mudhaluma at one go and in fact treated him to juice and beams that all this is due to the fear of Boo the murderer. Danda also is grinning ear to ear and Nanda taunts Pecchi to wear a chain and ring on his next round of collection. Angu flares up saying they are not ashamed that Boo is accused as murderer and they were all grinning and that she is concerned about his future. Kanmani consoles her saying that Boo will come out and that there are 3 witnesses. She says she will go with Nanda and talk to them as well Viji's exlover's mother who worked as a servant. She asks Nanda to go along with Diwa's file.

Kanmani and Nanda talk to the witnesses. Though they agree that Viji used them and threw them out they refuse to appear in court as witnesses.

Santhanam snoring and Padma wakes up to drink water. She smells something burning and wakes up a reluctant Santhanam. He too smells something burning and they think it is Devaki's ghost which is doing all this and hear the sound of dropping vessels in the kitchen. ( I dont know if i am right but feel a rat ran out of the kitchen) They are scared to go in. However Santhanam musters enough courage to peep in to the kitchen and they find all vessels scattered in their kitchen. They are convinced it is Devaki's spirit playing pranks and fearing the worst decide to leave the house to go to Viji. They lock the door and leave.
