This is so true😆 they be like atleast we won't have to go through the tedious team challenge 😆
Another thing is that Priyanka seems a bit overconfident. And a slight smugness. When her rice was burning she was like uss team ka hai and even in the byte she told mujhe laga samne wale ka ghar jal raha hai something.
Even Sachin😆 khud hi decide karliya ki blue team ka pagda bhari hai

Firstly, why did Priya own up to the mishaps when not even asked. I am sure every service in a professional kitchen has some mishap that doesn't get reported to the diners as far as the food on the pass is good
I also thought it was a bit unnecessary for her to explain. I kind of thought she told her mishaps after seeing that Priyanka spoke about all that. Priyanka bohot zyada explain karti hai dish and dish ke sath sath yeh bhi ki what all happened with each element on the plate😆

I think they edited the judge's question to which Priya replied. They must have asked her how was the experience like they did for Priyanka.
Priyanka made the EXACT same mistake like the last time. How hard is it to understand that as a captain you need to control your team and oversee them, not get involved in the cooking completely. She was again going on cooking. And for the love of god, she should talk less! The overconfidence with which she talks in the BTS bytes are irritating (I know they are shot after shooting the episode and they are supposed to narrate the whole experience but who has time to listen to so much!!)
I liked Priya's captaincy. They were very laid back and chilled and she delegated work properly to the team. Aruna was almost free the whole time and just walking around without doing anything 😆 I guess it's because they didn't go for anything ambitious and chose quality over quantity. But I don't agree with what Ranveer said about Avinash that because of him they won the main course round. If it wasn't for Ranveer, the fish would've stuck on the grill, if it wasn't for Gurkirat and Shanta, the vegetables would have been raw and not blanched so he was really disappointing today.
For me right now the dark horse is Gurkirat. I don't know why but suddenly he is showing a lot of promise as compared to his audition. I laughed out so loud when he said he is very happy that his turban is matching his apron 😆

I think western syle grilling is different from our open-fire char-grilling and tandoor. So eh. Could understand him struggling
I think what Vikas meant was Avinash gave balance to Priya's team as opposed to Nayan. Priyanka always chooses people with the same skill-set as her and screws up her team.

@ Bold: I don't think he meant that Avinash is a gold star or something, but that because he grilled it rather than Nayanjyoti who pan-seared it, the fish won them the main course round. Also the fact that they grilled their veggies and didn't burn anything.
@ Red: I feel like he's also gotten a confidence boost from the last week to this group round. He seems to have picked up and understood where his strengths are and also understood that he needs to play outside of that. That turban matching apron comment was so cute. 😆

I think that was an editing issue. If the chefs asked Priyanka what her experience was like, they probably asked Priya as well. The point between her describing the dish to explaining the issues was disjointed, like the editors combined two separate parts.
The blue team lost today for 2 reasons - (1) Priyanka was overconfident and repeating her same mistakes from last round: quantity, cooking, overconfident that she and her team are flawless; and (2) the people that joined her team were either overconfident (i.e., Sachin, Suvarna) or had very similar skills to her (i.e., Nayanjyoti, Vineet). Also when she came back from the mezze platter round, her team started celebrating like they had already won, while KDK was the only one reminding them to get back to cooking. I feel like that put more overconfidence into them. Plus her team had generally weaker home cooks. She had Suvarna and Sachin - 2 people who are full of overconfidence and have had maybe one dish praised by the chefs so far. She also had Vineet, Nayanjyoti, and KDK - 3 people who have their strengths and always play to them, but who probably won't go too far with just those strengths. And she decided to use just their strengths instead of trying to produce something of quality.
On the other hand, the yellow team was more laid back and careful. Priya wasn't cooking, she wasn't hovering, she was helping. She was allowing her teammates to make their own decisions but then correcting them only where she thought they were wrong. And they chose quality over quantity. Yes that quality didn't help them win the appetizer round, but it helped them win the other 2 rounds because they were careful, learnt from their mistakes, and brought back extra ingredients to account for their mistakes. Additionally, her team has stronger home cooks in general. She had Aruna and Deepa - 2 people who are consistently praised from the judges. Then she had Gurikirat and Santa - 2 people who are like dark horses, they have their big moments but also their dull moments, but in such a big group they were able to outshine. And then has Avinash - someone who could be a star if given the chance and he has no ego and learns from his mistakes. Avinash may have been the weakest part of her team, but he didn't take offense when she wanted to trade him and he learnt when Ranveer showed him how to use the grill.
I'm quite glad that the yellow team won. If they had added one or two more elements to their platter, they could have easily won that round as well and made it a clean sweep, but I'm glad with what they were able to do.
I think the blue team got scared seeing the fish fiasco that happened with the yellow team. They chose to pan sear their fish. When they’ve given you a grill and said two people should handle the grill, they clearly expected the main course would be grilled. In trying to be smart, they proved they’re not that smart. That team had all the overconfident cooks.
I’m surprised they had no extra rice, how can you not bring any extra? If not rice atleast pasta or quinoa or something. The biggest blame for the burnt rice goes to Priyanka. Her work distribution was wrong. If someone was going to be handling the grill, why was he making rice or cooking with strawberries? And grinding corn to make it resemble rice? Why couldn’t sautéed corn be served as is? Also too many fruits with a main course is a no no for me.
The Yellow teams main course looked like a complete dish. I liked the use of colours (bell peppers). The bean mash was praised and I’m curious what made it so delicious. I’ve never used cannelini beans before but I know it’s similar to fava beans which doesn’t have much flavour if it’s own.
Strangely during tasting they didn’t talk about the blue teams fish being over cooked. They only said they liked the seasoning but wished it was cooked on the grill. But while declaring the results, they mentioned it being overcooked.
The blue team tried to make something like a Mille feuille but their phyllo pastry looked like a papdi, the sheets should’ve been thinner. Also I agree their custard filling was too little. I think the thought was good, but execution was poor.
The yellow team made an olive oil cake which is risky. Olive oil has a strong flavour, to counteract you need to use another ingredient and they used orange. I think they used two ingredients strongly linked to the Mediterranean region, was a good choice. The cream cheese topping was neat.
What worked for the yellow team was good distribution of work. That they had stronger contestants was icing on the cake. Add to that, the fact that Aruna, Deepa and Priya have a very good idea of international foods and flavours. Everybody was doing their own dish, there was almost no interference from other team members. They say too many cooks spoil the broth - which clearly didn’t happen with the yellow team but did happen with the blue team.
The blue team had a lot of chaos, everyone was doing everything. Priyanka kept saying two people worked on this and two on that, but everybody was involved in all the dishes. Everybody was overconfident and there wasn’t enough camaraderie. Priyanka didn’t work on people’s strengths. As far as I know Kamaldeep and Sachin make a lot of desserts (from their instagram pages), Suvarna seems better at savoury dishes (as seen on the show). I’m going to blame Priyanka completely for the teams loss.
