I didn't mind Yashu or Dyuti going. Yashu hasn't really shown any kind of progress or has never even made a dish that could stand out. Dyuti on the other hand has been wayyy too chilled out. I don't think she was ever too serious about the show. Even her reasoning for the communication gap in the service challenge was lame. And she easily made the worst coffee in that challenge too. It still pisses me off how Priya has been getting saved without any kind of pressure test. Maybe yes in the service challenge she did a good job but for me she should've been out earlier for that soup she made during the first team challenge 😆

I agree with what Garima said about Sachin and others that they didn't take the pressure test seriously and were absolutely mediocre. But it was a given as except Shanta, the rest of the team is actually mediocre and the good ones were already standing in the gallery.

By now we can put these contestants in certain categories based on their skill n temperament.

Some cook for their own satisfaction at their own will...mannmauji..like Gurkirat and Vineet..Baa also is somewhat like this.

Then there r people like Shanta, Kamaldeep and Baa who are very organized and have the experience and a good sense of taste and balance..like chefs say 'Sadhaa hua haath'..but they lack in either global cuisine, modern techniques or stress management.

Aruna and Deepa have n edge coz they can maintain composure in pressure situations, can lead well and adapt n innovate. Aruna's entrepreneur experience comes handy here..

If you pause the video or see the screenshot, it'll take you all of 10 seconds to identify them all. Plus the people standing safe - there's a big clue as to which team wins.

I watch after it airs and download it so I was able to pause throughout the precap and see exactly what happens.

I think Kamaldeep has explored Korean food and there was a sweet dish that she prepped which was pretty innovative. Regarding the African & punjabi food infusion, I felt it wasn't that innovative like it felt like a deconstructed sarson ka saag type of food as in only the physical appearance changed of the food.

Yeah, to be frank, much to my chagrin, pretty much what will transpire next week has been revealed in terms of boiling down to who wins and is excluded from the pressure test except for the names of the dishes to be made. Kinda a bummer, as a viewer as it kills the thrill, maybe should;ve excluded the black apron challenge lol.

Yes to the last part. The precap was very interesting without showing the black apron. It takes away from the fun of guessing which team will win and which people will be safe.

Finally chef Garima told Nayanjyoti Tart ke kab innovative karoge aur better hota if she would have told him dessert se kab bahar aaoge. Seriously when is this guy going to come out of sweet dish and cook something savory.

Todays challenge was to create non Indian but innovative dishes from ingredients the Portuguese brought to India.

I understood the innovative part, but why non Indian? And if it had to be non Indian, it should’ve been Portuguese.

Anyway coming to todays challenge, I was a little surprised at what some contestants chose to cook and Kamaldeep and Avinash were rightly out in the first 30 minutes - I don’t remember what Shanta was cooking.

I think judging dishes only by presentation at the end of 60 minutes wasn’t right. But that’s what it was, and clearly Sachin, Gurkeerat and Deepa had the weakest plating. Wasn’t Sachin making a choux pastry? I could seen something resembling a phyllo pastry. I wish they showed what contestants tried to do and that they sometimes fail too.

Coming to the tasting - Aruna’s thought was good and I think she executed it well too. But her foam didn’t turn out as expected due to the weather. I wish the judges said something like you should’ve kept the weather in mind and thought of an alternative. At the moment it seems no matter what she does, the judges will be impressed. I was impressed too, but mistakes can be addressed.

Priyanka - I really didn’t understand her innovation - instead of caramelizing the pineapple she boiled. It was still an upside down pineapple cake (deconstructed). Maybe it was just me.

Priya - her potato pavé looked good and her dish did sound interesting. I think she deserved to be one of the top 2.

Nayanjyoti- I am so glad he was called out for sticking to just desserts. His dish looked good, but was repetitive. Again, I didn’t see too much innovation. Using cashews instead of almonds is hardly an innovation.

Vineet - I liked the thought behind his plating, wasn’t very convinced about his dish though.

Suvarna - very good thinking, who would’ve thought of a chicken and (I forgot) cake. So full marks for creativity. Although looks wise I don’t think he dish looked all that good.

all in all I think this challenge wasn’t great. I’d have expected better.

Todays challenge reminded me of one they used in one of the previous seasons, where they were given a mystery box and had to cook with that, but could use no water! That is challenging.

Would love to see really challenging challenges

Lol, the presentation judgement at the end of 30 minutes was stupid. 😂 How about if they tasted and judged the presentation in 1st minutes? That would sound more reasonable. 😆

Aruna's dish sound interesting. I like that it's not South Indian for once. That's one of the core areas that she needs to focus on. But dish, felt presentation could've been toned down a bit w/ whatever those mufali dana. I agree with Raina101, that the foam thing should've been mentioned at least when she was making it.

Nayanjyoti mentioning pastry in the dish was like, can this dude be eliminated now? 🤦‍♀️ 😂 Portwine glaze. 😆 Lol, I don't deny that he can bake good, but he panics over making savory food like in that team challenge. 🤪Badam innovation confused him out lol. Vikas' comment on kaju katli was mehh because Nayanjyoti needs to step out of dessert zone lol.

Kamaldeep- she's mehh to be honest. Panics at times.

Avinash- so basically a chilra by the way he made it sound lol? 😂 Dish sounded messy and I've eaten aloo chilras. 😆Not innovative, I mean, sounded like aloo tikka was just rolled with a rolling pin. 😆

Swarna- I wish she tied her hair & MC takes strict measures. Chicken cake sounded interesting. Even the colors looked nice. She should talk less and do more as she has potential.

Santha- baking potato and pineapple together, portwine glaze, cashew butter and guava salsa -- so a one pot meal.

Gurkirat- looked confused with so many things cooking in one go.

vineet-at least, he took the savory route by cooking chicken. Concept looks interesting but complex IMO. Outcome looked plain, like tomato-filled stuffing has been done before when presentation came out. Background looked overdone on the plate.

Priya- concept was okay but didn't taste it lol? Also, honest opinion looked simple and definitely not over done. I liked it. I do wish she improves on tasting her dish prior to serving it next time. Also, it was vegan one so I'm liking it. She can improve and go long way.

Priyanka- as usual, desserts route!🤣🤣Muffins lol. Obviously , judges won't criticize her for working on her weak point. Also, dish looked so messy and all over the place. 🤣 Not innovative in boiling pineapples with the wine reduction --- seen it in so many cooking shows already in the past.

Sachin- the dish ain't a choux pastry bro. 😂 Looked more like khari biscuit ka layer served on the platter to me. 😂 spark is gone, I feel he might be eliminated.

Deepa- presentation was plain jane today.

Any idea which team gonna win ? Tbh this time I really wanted team blue to win only bcoz most of the contestants chosen team Priya bcoz last time Priyanka didn't managed her team properly.As per the precap both team won one one round let's c whose desert will win
