lol how the heck are able to vote when we haven't even tasted their dishes? this makes no sense at all! but if nikita wins, i'm fine

I don't think it's about tasting, it 's more about us choosing who we think deserves the title from the overall performance of the whole season! :)
Of course the judges are going judge the dishes in the grand finale but our votes will count too to decide the winner of the season!

However, in the final, you should not consider how they have done until that stage. They obviously did well to get that far, and the final decision should be based on their performance on that day (or week, depending on how long they make the final challenge).

And let's say you do consider past performances. What experience do the viewers have of their past performances? Only the comments we have heard from the judges, so in the same light just let the judges make the decision (instead of us extrapolating their comments).
