Nutmug???!!! Really? Nishaji, nutmeg hai!

Competitors or Chefs, there is a lot to be said about their pronunciation of some of the dishes and ingredients. Sometimes pronunciation is so not correct that it is embarrassing. Like oregano is pronounced just as it spelt (by them). Its actually pronounced o-reg-no. There there are these :

- Dessert : mispronounced desert (as in Sahara Desert)
- Mozzarella : mispronounced : mozella
- Chives : mispronounced : Shives
- Lettuce : mispronounced: let-use

There there is Navneet's 'SuperIshtar'

There are quite a few more but am going blank, so maybe you guys can fill in.

Another one is canapes

Which are pronounced canopeas but the correct way is can-a-pay

But then people will argue that most contestants are from the Hindi belt & therefore they'll say in Hindi even though they're talking in English

In a way you are absolutely right. Yet I think chefs must not make this errors in mispronouncing.

My apologies for making this post.
