What I find most interesting on this forum are the comments from various people that
A contestant cant cook. Espacially about Ripu. Excuse me its a cooking show albeit a reality one. But to make the claim or pass judgement about a contestant is ludicrous. Espacially when you are not evening tasting the food. You see an hours eorth of prep snd cooking in 40 minutes of a number of people. So how qualified are we to stand judge snd jury on them..?

I am not in favour of anyone cause I honestly don't care who wins, its already decide because its star plus 'reality show' but I can say this many times dishes have been over rated and also under rated, also comments are inconsistent, they'll say good stuff then that person is probably eliminated.

Also why is it that whenever kunal goes and questions people's dish and puts them down, they are usually the winners and apparently 'best' dish.

I can also say many of the contestants show skill in their cutting technique etc more than they claim, some things can not be mastered in a very short period of time no matter how gifted you may be, and from what I know the contestants are not supposed to be professionals.

I am a professionally trained chef so there are some things that are so obviously flawed and easy to pick up when you are in the business.

I agree with whatever you've said.
I've been cooking for a while now, and am amazed at some if the stuff they can do.

Something's that baffle me:

During the cake cooking episode everybody knew how to make the icing. Not just that try could also make decorations! Wow! It took me classes and a lot of practice to be able to do that.

All of them know techniques like cooking in a bamboo, grilling, tandoor, etc. how's my of us use all of this at home? And honestly in small towns of India some of the appliances used are unheard of.

Everybody knows ingredients used in the cuisine of other states so well that they can actually innovate!

Looking at the way they chop vegetables reminds me if the cooks we hire during weddings, etc. the speed is definitely of a professional rather than someone who cooks for a few people at home.

I can't judge the contestants ability coz I'm convinced its rigged.

Never ever in a reality show a person has been judged by the specific skill. People do judge the based on how they behave and their personality. It is same for dance, music reality shows and true here too.

Same thing happening here.. Some people can not just stand a contestant.. So when they can not find anything to criticise they just add that they can not cook.

You can take it the other way round also. Why do people support particular contestants in a cooking reality show when none of us can taste what anyone is cooking? If this were an ideal platform all we would be having is discussions on food and no AT for anyone.

Exactly! Especially when the comments start with the good looks & that they want that person to win. Then comes the reply, to criticism, on their great cooking abilities. That itself proves that anyone good looking has the right to win, acc. to their admirers.
