Yes, the hand written board showed more items, but I chose the PH menu 😛

Anyway, they just gave a glimpse of the boards.

Rana, i think u din get what i am saying... the ones written in red is of blue team and the ones written in blue is of red team... Tongueyeah, they did write quite a lot on their board and we were not shown clearly...but the red team smartly made cabbage thoran, which is much much simpler than the brinjal curry... appreciate their choices today...😃!...

^yeah correct jyothi... Vada-sambhar or Vada-rasam wud be ideal...too... that's what...uthappam seems a meek choice... let's see how much kamai they do... as the suspense includes the rates for blue team being high... so even if they get half the customers, their paisa is wasool...!

Chetyar podoyalAvial rice
Channa daalSambar rice
SambarBaigan sabzi
NaichoruLaddu
ThoranAvial
ModhSambar
Malabar parathaAkkhiRoti
I have no idea about chetyar podoyal, channa daal and modh
Naichoru is ghee-rice, thoran is brinjal curry. If i am not wrong, the blue team also were mentioning avial dear...!
so they cud have skipped brinjal and opted for potato ...imp!
Yeah u r right dear... there were no Southies, so this was tough for them...!

Thoran is dry sabzi with coconut 😎 I think one of them explained it as well..

Thirdly, instead of nei chor, they cud have opted for either Lemon rice or tamarind rice as it is the most preferred rice varieties and tamarind rice will always find its takers... no matter who tries it...!
Fourthly, Navneet seemed to include papaya for the avial...❓.As far as we r concerned(no idea about chettinad samayal) we don't add onion, garlic and papaya in avial at all..🤔.. Avial is a combo of colocasia, potato, drumstick, white pumpkin, ripe pumpkin, yam, raw banana, carrot, beans etc... it needs good sour curd and green chillies to add to the spice... if the curd is not sour, we add mango...but never papaya...!
Any similar thots, guys???

I think I understand the logic behind ghee rice. Punjabis like desi ghee/butter in their dishes and this was a chance to play on that. None of the accompanying dishes require much ghee..

i think this is not the exact menu they prepared ... but stupid SP showed it written this only separately ... stupid SP 😡

@bold ... i think sachin was talking about channa daal pisum, so it must be that only.

Hi guys...love this show and I love south Indian food.I think the judges clearly told them they would not be making dosa, idli or vada.that is why they had to make something else apart from the regular dishes known to us north people as south Indian food.i have not heard of any of the dishes both teams are making except Avial though I don't know what it is.
