Hi all! In the past few days, everything at MasterChef India 2 has been so exciting. While we surprise the contestants with our tasks, they manage to astonish us with their great cooking. Everywhere I go, the response is fantastic and I think the all the contestants are already winners in their own right.
With the Hongkong Challenge, MasterChef India 2 is going to do something that's never happened in India before. Chef Tsang King is a very important authority on sea food in the world. To perform in front of him is really a once in a lifetime opportunity. We are competing with top international standards, and it's not an easy challenge. The contestants have to buy their own ingredients also this time. But I think they will perform well.
Just recently I attended the U.S President's holiday season party. You know President Obama is a huge fan of Indian food and it was a pleasure talking to him about the MasterChef India journey. I updated him about how our contestants are inspiring the nation with their food. MasterChef is creating a new vision of Indian food around the world. It was such a proud moment for me.
Everyone keeps asking me what I love to eat. But I am so easy going with food that I can survive on plain rice and chana daal also. Bas bahut saara pyaar hona chahiye. I still remember even on a stressful day, my grandmother used to have this big smile on her face. I think when you are the kitchen, staying cheerful is very crucial. There is really no technique that can give you so much power as a smile when you cook.
My Hindi is still the biggest kitchen disaster story of MasterChef. Though, I think I have improved a bit. Do you have any funny kitchen disaster stories to share? Do let me know, I am all ears. Catch the Hongkong Challenge in MasterChef India 2 on Sat-Sun at 9pm.
