Some really interesting analysis, thanks heaps for such insightful writing Hope and Damon. Food for thought CV's. Love reading different perspectives. But above all, the actual epi's as CV's potray it is worth watching. They never disappoint. Well done. Great show, great forum, great team. This show keeps getting better and better.

wow amazing post hope...i totally agree with you...this is the one track i dont get...aditya had worshiped his dad all his life and all of a sudden he had to believe that he was a monster...of course that will be hard on anyone...he needed evidence...but as soon as he realized his mistake he did apologize...i mean everyone else had seen the bad side of brama except aditya...vidya saw him shoot gaurab, garuav had witnessed their fights since he was a child, uttara, dev, bauji everyone had witnessed it and had evidence...aditya was expected to believe what others were saying...

i know aditya was at fault but priya was also at fault for not telling aditya from the beginning...there were alot fo things she hid from him for along time...and that is what led aditya to believe that she was lying because she never told the truth to him about so many things

but now they both realized their mistake...if they wanna show priya strong then fine show her make all the other women strong or let her become a lawyer while she is married...but if they wanna go ahead with them separating then show a proper divorce so they both get closure...coz priya can just pack up and leave and then expect aditya to wait for her forever or whenever she decides to come back

okay some quick thoughts before I head off to my chores

a) love how they show strength in the three main female characters - Devyani, RD and Priya keeping their reactions in line with their generationalgap

e.g. Priya is strong willed but shies away from confrontation. SHe needs to lash out vocally to demonstrate her strength. She does not prefer to do it in public. When she does. she gets self-concious after she is done

Devyani is strong-willed too but she does not confront. She states her position calmly, clearly and with authority. She commands respect because of her demeanour

RD is also very strongwilled but she bears the tell tale signs of survival in a man's world. she uses strategy, information and power to get respect.

Both Devyani and RD show their strength through subtle controlled emotions which is why they seem more successful in their fights becasue they never let you know what they will do next. Priya on the other hand demonstrated her immaturity several times while tauntin Braham, she challenged him openly and dared him by sharing details which is why all her brave efforts were unsuccessful. She needs exposure to Devyani and RD to learn how to channel her strength more effectively.



2) Aditya's concern and desire to be in the loop as a husband. Two different reactions shown. SJ is shown reacting as a neutral third party well wisher and also a responsible man who understands the protective nature of men towards their spouses or partners. He sees that Aditya wants to give her space but without losing his rights and responsibilities as a husband. He accepts this because he does not see the couple as a candidate for divorce. His reaction is more like that of a marriage counsellor. not surprising since he is a divorce lawyer and quite often they seek amicable settlements and other solutions to marital disputes before they advise their clients on divorce

While Devyani's character is shown differently. She is not seeing reacting to Aditya's and Priya's wishes as a mother or MIL. she is shown as a well wisher though but her reaction is that of a divorced single woman who in some ways is seeking an independence hesitantly and is very much in the same boat as Priya. Devyani is alone because of divorce but Priya is alone becasue of marital dispute not divorce. Yet Devyani does not seem to act predominantly in the nature of a marriage counsellor or a family member looking to repair bonds. rather she is acting in an empathetic manner to Priya's request as a woman in a similar predicament looking to demonstrate her own independence and willpower without assistance from stong powerful male figures in her life.

yes priya told aditya about her past but the most important part she didnt after marriage which is that it was his dad..she could have told him the second she found and not listen to anybody...but she kept that information from her..there is no excuse for her not telling him...it was wrong and also lead to all this drama because aditya didnt believe him after..
