Depressing show

Whenever I see Uttara and Aditya, I feel depressed. Uttara was encouraged by Devyani by not taking timely action in the name of Maryada. And Priya has become so spineless that she is trying to pacify the stupid husband. What happened to her self respect as an individual? Aditya has shades of Brahma minus the cunningness.
It is leaving such a bad taste in the mouth. Why should Devyani be so protective about Uttara who killed someone and will also kill anybody who comes in her way?
If this show continued, it would have become regressive by making Devyani and Priya suffer more while Brahma will enjoy at the expense of others.
The apt punishment for Brahma will be complete paralysis where he cannot move any part of his body.
The punishment for Uttara will be losing her daughter's love forever.
The punishment for Aditya will be to lose Priya to Subhankar.
Will Maryada makers will be bold enough to do all these things?

Hmmm...I agree and disagree. I think you are taking an extreme view of the characterization just like the writers are putting out signpost characters.

Uttara was not encouraged by Devyani. Her's is the type of character that will do what she wants when her mind is set. Was Devyani wrong in not fighting back harder...yes. But the reality the writers faced then was that the actress was going to be unavailable for a period of time. So they did the best they could...ie. show Devyani going away when the affair began!

Priya & spineless...hmmm. Here is where I kinda agree. I do not think she is spineless but I do think the writers missed an opportunity in making her truly the lead of this show! Priya should have started fighting back a long time ago instead of being the good "bahu". That said...I do not like watching her handling Aditya with kid gloves. Those gloves are however coming off now.

Brahma...I feel the apt punishment for him will be losing his "powers" and being left alone by is family...ie powerless!

Uttara...the realization of what she has done is her biggest punishment. Tara's disappointment in her is the next. But her's is a character that will be redeemed...every story needs one of those...esp. this kind of story.

Aditya...Priya needs to stand up for herself...she is trying though! Stupidity...unfortunately...is not a crime!

It is not only Aditya's stupidity. It is his tendency to treat Priya like some trash and always asking her to shut up and also trying to get physically violent with her which is not at all acceptable. What kind of partener is he? Priya deserves better. Let Aditya get someone obsessive like Uttara for a partner. The father and son duo makes me sick.

Funny...I would like to see SJ-DEvyani paired up.
