Devyani and Uttara talking, Uttara saying she's happy, she's finally free now. She asks Devyani if she's a bad woman, and is getting all worked up. The one with whom I was forced to live with, who treated me like a dog, I'm now free from him. Now I don't have to listen to anyone cursing me off, anyone hitting me, anyone selling me in the bazaar. I can now live with my daughter, the poor girl who was in the hostel for so long because I had to hide the truth of her father's doings. Devyani just stands there in tears.
Imli, Vidya, and Priya in the kitchen. Vidya begins to ask Priya about Uttara, how she hasn't cried even once since she found out about Rishabh's death, and if any other woman was in that situation, they would have cried a lot. I'm not saying that she's not sad about Rishabh's death, but you can't see it on her face. Priya responds that the sadness you see on someone's face is always trivial, but the sadness and pain that one hides in a corner of their heart, that's whats more important. [Loved this statement] Even if Uttara hasn't figured it out now, she'll understand later what has happened. Vidya says she understands, and tells Priya that she's really understanding, and that she herself doesn't understand anything. Priya tells Vidya that's not true, and that the only reason she probably understands is because she saw death really close, when her mother passed away. Imli and Priya then leave because Rishabh's body has come and Vidya is left standing in tears.
Rituals are being done as Rishabh's body is placed in the house, and Devyani slowly brings Uttara, who just stands staring at Rishabh, not reacting like everyone else who is crying. Imli and Vidya talking on the side, and Imli says that Vidya is right, that Uttara's face nor her heart show any emotion, and that Vidya sees this better than Priya.
Aditya and Priya on the side, and SSP goes to comfort Aditya, who then leaves. SSP talks to Priya and says that it's said that happiness and sadness bring people together, and in this house, that was done by sadness. I'm happy that you are able to take care of the house, of everyone, and forget what happened, when Priya interrupts. She says I haven't forgotten anything, when the truth finally comes out, even then I won't leave them, I'll take care of everyone. And SSP is left there, standing angrily.
Taara [Uttara/Rishabh's daughter] comes crying into the house, with Gaurav right behind her. Uttara sees her and gets up, a slow smile on her face. She holds out her arms for her daughter, smiling so that she comes to her, and Taara runs right by her and goes crying, to hug Rishabh's body. Uttara goes to pick her up, when she shoves her away, yelling "Don't touch me!" Tara blames Uttara for Rishabh's death, screaming that she hates her, she doesn't even want to see her face. And everyone is stunned. Tara goes back crying, and SSP comes to pick her up, softly asking her why she's behaving like that with her mother.
Tara launches into anther fit, blaming Uttara once again for not being able to see her dad before he died, how Uttara was why Tara had to leave the house and go live in the hostel. Uttara tries to hold her, but she keeps pushing her away. Uttara folds her hands in front of Tara, falls at her feet, begging her to hug her, and Tara keeps pushing her away. Devyani tries to talk to Tara, and soon enough Tara faints in Devyani's and SSP's arms. All the women are trying to calm a hysterical Uttara down.
The men taking Rishabh's body away, and Uttara is standing there, and that's when she begins crying out for Rishabh, falling to the ground, as she screams his name and breaks down in tears. [oh my god, AMAZING performance by Kamya] Tara in bed and Vidya and Priya in the room. She begins calling out for Rishabh, and the two comfort her.
All the men return, and Devyani tells Imli to take care of everyone. Devyani goes to talk to SSP, and she says how he has been busy all day, and SSP says that because of this work, Uttara will be able to live in peace, he has talked t his superiors and that case file won't be opened once again.
Devyani brings a plate of food to Tara's room, where Uttara is sitting by her daughter's side. She calls out her name, and Uttara immediately shushes her, saying that as long as Tara's asleep, she wants to sit by her, because as soon as she wakes up, she's going to have to leave. Uttara gets up all worried and tells Devyani how she doesn't want to go to jail, how she wants to be with her daughter, and Devyani says that her Jijaji has had to do so much for her, the man who has been so righteous with his job, had to do this now. Uttara goes into a launch of how SSP has done so much for her, and Devyani stops her and says that SSP did what he was supposed to do, and tells Uttara to think about Tara, and her future.
Precap: Uttara hugging SSP, saying that if he wasn't with her, she wouldn't know what to do. SSP goes, why wouldn't I be with you? I was with you before and I'm with you now and I'll be with you in the future as well. And Priya is standing there listening to everything.
