It looks like it's finally time, I cant stop myself after watching today's episode.
I wasn't really sure about this show and I definitely hadn't planned on watching it, until I saw the awesome chemistry between Aditya and Priya. And it was only because of these two and the intensity of their meetings that I kept watching this show. But today, a thought struck me. The thought that when the truth really comes out how it's going to turn the world upside down and sideways for all involved. Today we got to see a little bit how each of the characters react to the illusion of reality they live in. When Aditya told his family that Priya said no to them because he was the son of a police officer no one could quite believe it. We had Sweety saying how in the world would anyone not trust a police officer. We had Aditya saying, "Dad she's not talking about you, she needs to realize that all police officers aren't like you. They aren't honorable and ethical." And you know what really spoke to me about that scene, it wasn't the words Aditya spoke and it wasn't the bs Sasurpig (SP) spit out, but it was Devyani's reaction to Adi's words. As this innocent son told his hero of a father that the woman he loved was misunderstanding him because of those other policemen we saw his mom react in a way that spoke wonders of how well she really knows her husband. Devyani knows that her husband is NOT the man the public perceives him to be. He is not a man she wants her son to look up to, and yet she can't break that illusion for them. What Mother would ever want to shatter the innocence of their children, it's a parents job to protect their children from the evil and pain of the world for as long as possible. Unfortunately, both in real life and in reel life the truth will come out and it will come to change the lives of all involved. What follows is simply what I think will happen to those involved:
SP: This man who has continued to live a blissful life of privilege who loves to preach about no one being above the law, and yet continues to evade the consequences he thrusts on others. His world is going to implode on itself, not only is the evilness of what he did to Priya going to come out but all the other things he has done as well. The very pedestal his children has placed him on is going to crush him into to little man he is. Everyone he knows is going to see the black heart that is hidden under words about justice and peace. I don't think he has a clue what is his 'special bahu' is going to do not only to his family but to his professional life. And I cant wait for his patriotic music to turn into the villainous tune it should really be. Ps I loved how he kept saying, "With me by your side nothing can go wrong". Oh if he only knew it was because of him that his family's life is slowly unraveling.
Devayni: You know seeing the way she reacts to the bs spilling out of her husband's mouth I suspect she knows more than any of us do about the truth of her husband. Unfortunately, I don't think even she knows how truly sick he can sink. Oh sure she knows he's a hypocrite and that he sees himself above the law, but I think when she finds out that he is responsible for taking advantage of this innocent girl, the girl that has already stolen her son's heart and soon in my opinion will steal hers, she is going to forget about this Maryada she is so set on talking about. I must say I really felt bad for her today when she went to Priya's house to ask her to not compare her and her family to the policemen she has known in her past, that have caused her to become so skiddish. When she said, "I understand something bad happened with you and a police officer, but my husband and my son had no part in that." It just stung so much for me, this woman who regardless of knowing her husband is not a saint put her word her izzat on the line for her son and husband, and truth is her husband is the one that caused that hadsa. You know I think when it call comes out Devyani is going to be the one that undergoes the most drastic transformation. A woman who did everything to protect her family's secrets to keep the family's Maryada, will throw it all to the wind to stand up for what is right, for her Daughter in Law and I hope will fight to get justice for the wrong doing her husband did. You will see her become the constant steady flame that will keep her Son and DIL strong to fight the evil of the world.
Aditya: His two worlds are going to collide the family he thought he knew and loved, and the woman he loved despite not knowing. He unfortunately is going to have one of the hardest paths to choose from. He is going to have to choose a side, for the wrongs his father has done is going to shatter every illusion he had built up for the man he wants to be like, a respectable man. This poor guy has no clue that the man he loves and adores is pure evil and when it comes out it is going to leave him shattered. And yet if any man has the strength to come out of disjointed illusions it is Aditya. He is going to have to prove that his love truly is pure that he will stand by Priya and fight with her for her justice even if it's against his own father. Watching him today apologizing to his father for having to prove to Priya that not all policemen are bad, that most are actually respectable and honorable it made my heart sad for he was totally talking to the one man that destroyed his beloved's life, and was soon going to destroy his as well.
Priya: You know after all she has been through I think, okay fine I hope, she is going to the be the one that will see things the clearest. I hope when the truth is revealed nothing is going to stand in her way to get the justice she deserves, even if that means she's going to have destroy her in laws home. I know I may be hoping for too much when it comes to a desi show, and that they will most likely drag it out with her debating whether she should tell the truth or not, or if she should stay quiet for the 'maryada' of the family. But I really do hope that instead she confronts SP and tells him that she is going to get him in jail and that she is going to turn everyone against him and is going to strip him of his reputation once and for all just like he did to her and her family. I hope she gets her revenge for she totally deserves it. I also hope she finds out that Aditya is NOT the man his father is, that SP is simply a rotten one in the batch and that the whole batch isn't rotten. I really think she will find her strongest ally to be Devyani and I truly hope I get it, because I would most definitely love to see these two women team up to take down the big bad SP.
Who knows if the randomness I spewed about each of the characters is going to be the way it really goes down, but I for one an excited to see Priya where those kangans (come we all know she is) and accept Devayani's and Aditya's proposal to her. Now the true question that remains is...will she see SP before Aditya and Devayani see her at the 'function' or will it be postponed once again...
