Picked up Tales Of Mystery And Imagination by Edgar Allen Poe.

Poe is touted as the father of detective stories in western literature and Sherlock Holmes is said to be inspired from Poe's Dupin.

Finished reading, Baburao Arnalkar's Aflatoon zunjar, a three book set featuring Zunjar, a fictional character created by Baburao Arnalkar.

A typical mystery thriller. Arnalkar's language is a bit 'different'.

I'm currently reading the Atlee Pine series by David Baldacci.

The synopsis is: Atlee Pine, an FBI agent with special skills assigned to the remote wilds of the southwestern United States who must confront a new threat . . . and an old nightmare.

I've finished with the first two books: The Long Road to Mercy and A Minute To Midnight and just bought the third one: Daylight to read.

This thread just came up at the top and co-incidentally I had just finished reading The Vow of Parvati by Aditi Banerjee. Covers the life of Sati and Parvati. The writer truly paints beautiful pictures with her words and I couldnt help but imagine how beautiful an anime could be made out of this!! She has stayed true to the Pauranic stories unlike our shows or other authors (some even make Devi swear like a fisherwoman just to show how cool she is🤢). The love between Shiva-Sati/Parvati is also written in a very proper and respectful manner keeping in mind they are Gods and not mere mortals. It will be a good read for young readers who wish to know more about the Gods. And even if you do know the story you can still read it for the beautiful writing.
