The mirchi scene was one of the best in KDP. Both Rishi and Sayali were outstanding in their expressions. Rishi with his piercing determined expression and Sayali with her tremulous, contrite looks and dialogues. This scene clearly established in each other's mind their feelings for each other.

Mirchi episode!! I would say one of the classic sequences!! Why only Rishi?? Sayali has also done a fine job!! Gauri ne kelelya maskari chi kuskari jhalyavar...she felt sooo bad n was in tears!! Aaplya haatane tyala dahi-bhaat bharavte!! Scolds him for being crazy!! His admitting that he has indeed gone crazy for her...but jo bhi hai... aapke hai!! N she, even after this, holds herself... requests him to eat...n they are in smiles...at the turn of events!! I also like the morning after!! When Gauri's reminiscing about it, blushing away...!! In the Office she wants to imitate Shiv's craziness, eats a mirchi n realizes the sourness immediately!!

Her holding herself back, her reluctance even when he is all forthcoming...is it due to the understanding that her family may not accept the relationship??

Tech na yaar ...hyala mhantat romance...honestly na ,,none of ZM's current shows have the KDP romance Cha spark ...

ZM should just stop churning these Gramin shows ...🤢..aadhi Kay superb shows asayche ZM war ..Ek Sairat Kay hit zhala ..everybody wants to be archi and parsha...

ZM awards were also swept by them ...sheee..

M watching ZM awards only for Praju's performance ...

I would say it is more to do with her middle class upbringing where she had assumed that she will be marrying someone decided by her parents (remember those two fiasco's of arranged marriage that she goes through without a murmur?). So falling for Shiv is a shock and she is hesitant to acknowledge it initially.

That's how I read it.

The CV's / director have shown subtly and so well, the progressive boldness of Gauri in admitting her feelings for Shiv. First she is not even ready to acknowledge to herself that she has fallen for Shiv. The Mirchi scene makes her admit her feelings to Shiv. The Dahi handi scene establishes her willingness to openly declare to everyone her feelings for Shiv.

Gauri has been of the view...ki majhya javalchya maansala majhya manaatla olkhalata aala pahije...sarv bolun dakhavaycha nasta!! Ni hya mulech ti Shiv chi ani Tyachya barobar swataha chi hi pariksha baghate!! She's not open about her feelings intially... for quite long time... opened up slowly n nicely (remember the 'kay kartyos??' mode!!) maintaining the spice... The high point being her kissing Shiv in the Shukl garden, when he n of course we, least expected it!!

She's always wanted Shiv to talk to Baba, her family about their relationship!! At dahi-handi mishap, she's overwhelmed by her love for Shiv n for that time span she forgets the whole world n rushes to comfort her Shiv!! But when the reality dawns, her family's rather her Baba's unacceptance...just puts a big full stop!! Remember, those days we wanted Shukls n Sawants to accept Shiv-Gauri!! We didn't like the way they were tensed n almost separated from each other!! The courting period was too short... Thanks to Amma n Nisha!!
