Simhasan won many awards that time. It is combination of 2 novels namely simhasan and mumbai dinank. All great actors played very good characters in it.

@mishkil88-"satish rajwade is not the director of Rudram", my mistake.
I never checked the titles & was under impression that this was Rajwade venture.
However after checking the titles, this becomes quite curious. It seems that Vinod Lavekar & Sandesh Kulkarni are involved in this serial but as producers .
So , being pessimist , I have toned down my expectations from this serial to around 50%.😛

Charudeu - i have my hopes on Rudram intact as all the episodes so far have been up to the mark. There will always be new breed of directors coming in and someone may become rajwade or better 😊

I felt so restless today during Ragini's session with her psychiatrist Super acting (I need to stop saying this now. Its getting repetitive 😆)

I am very happy that the makers are spending at least an episode or two showing Ragini trying to get justice through the legal route. Otherwise most thrillers/ revenge dramas just forget about the law & go on a killing spree. I guess they will show her facing disappointment from every side before she decides to get justice on her own terms.

If these people could arrange for Babu to die in prison then they are really powerful. VG in the precap is right to fear for her daughter's safety. I wish Ragini would once spare a thought for her mother as well. She might be able to avenge the deaths of her husband, son & father but in the end her mother is going to be left all alone. My heart goes out to that poor lady.

Btw what role is Kiran Karmarkar playing? Is he going to be the main villain? Or maybe a lawyer? He is another actor I love!

Lol not after today for sure 😆 I was kinda keeping track, watched Bajirao become Peshwa episodes, then started watching online ffing annoying scenes.
Happened to watch today, enough! Today they officially turned Kashi stupid. Even 7-8 year old child knows not to discuss private household matters in front of outsiders!
It is everything except Bajirao journey.

Btw read on PB forum TRPs are pathetic and serial might end, don't care since not interested in watching BM
I am done with it.

@Vidya: Thanks for the link!! 😳

First week was interesting. Mukta Barve continues her fast-talk style.A minor point of contention- there is no feel that 2 years have elapsed since the accident.
Rajwade's handling of romantic & light stories is excellent. Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 1 can be considered classic. However MPM 2 & "Ti Sadhya" ,considering the hype, were disappointing.
In suspense genre , leaving aside " Asambhav "( which was anyway stretched later so not his fault ),his work is not satisfactory at all. In " Gair" & in the suspense part of " Guntata hriday he' , no clues were given to the viewers . The characters never asked any pertinent questions. All the explanation was given in the last part .
However this serial can be classed as thriller & so let us hope that this will be interesting.

I think Satish Rajwade is good actor and fantastic director. When he gets good story he can turn it into excellent serial. His biggest plus point is he creates memorable characters which stay in mind long after serial is over. I remember all characters of Asambhav, who can forget Kuhu? Wasn't Agnihotra also his direction? Mahadevkaka rocked

Agree with you about Gair, police going to such lengths to catch a killer was unbelievable 😆
I hope he doesn't get caught up in "style over substance"

I always wonder how Asambhav might have turned out if the falling out with Pallavi Joshi hadn't happened and they had stuck to original plan.
I would love if someday Satish Rajwade decides to make Asambhav his way into Hindi but keeping his characters intact, no Christmas chandelier earrings wearing women but his real lifelike characters.

Yes Dipali...looking forward to your posts here 😛

@Maddy, me too remember seeing Sinhasan long back on TV...awesome movie indeed 👍🏼

It was truly awesome. I can't get over how it was so stark and still simple and human. It was as if each character was justified in his/her POV.
They were all gray characters and so so interesting.
I even remember the Parsi Bawa on the beach or Sudhir Moghe going gaga over "Malavun taak deep" or the scene of Lalan Sarang and Nilu Phule in taxi, Arun Sarnaik making earpick of Mohan Agashe's sorry note 😆

Anyone here who hasn't watched it is must watch.

@Mishkil88
Thanks for the names, I knew about Sinhasan book. They must be so interesting.
It had everyone from Marathi film industry.

The producers must be watching your posts ,the second session was face to face ( & very short for that matter)😛

@ MaddyO , There is no question about his talent as director. With only two characters & a backdrop of Pune , he created a fantastic movie. Just because it was lighthearted & entertaining , the so-called film critics would not call MPM 1 as a classic ( 😊) but it is.
After that , as you put it " I hope he doesn't get caught up in "style over substance".I think, that is what happened to MPM-2 & TSKK. Compared to hype these movies were disappointing.
Waiting for his next project & hoping he can once more create the magic.
