I know I'm preaching to the choir in this forum!

This clash of cultures is getting boring. When we have sprouted moong Vs Sukha Mewa it means the CV's are now stretching things. Have they to show ALL the differences in culture? Why not pick a few important cultural differences and be done with it? I hope they don't go as far as clashing about whether a wooden cradle is better than a metal cradle for the baby. The worst thing is Shiv watching mutely with no protest when Gauri is being so badly treated. It is fine that you want to show clash of cultures, but in the process why do they have to degrade Shiv's character? The earlier such nonsense gets over, the better it will be for the serial's progress.

As I said earlier, I am not watching KDP anymore. I feel like slapping Amma and I don't want to get my BP up after a day of hard work in office and home.
I do read your comments and whatever I understand from that disgusts me even more.

What is the point of taking care of your wife's physical health by giving her milk and badam, when her mental torture continues. Showing a pregnant woman being mentally harassed is a new low for the serial.
This endlessly saying, "Amma is not like this." is just plain stupid. He has been saying this for over 200 episodes now. Anybody with an ioata of intelligence would have by now figured out that this woman is evilness incarnate.
But like many mamma's boys Shiv too is blind to his mom's real nature.

Also, I don't agree with Kamalji and Vaani who said in an earlier post that if parents are obdurate why not spend some more time in convincing them. I agree that one should not break off at a drop of a hat, but when things reach a point when a to-be mother is never given peace of mind (which as science has proven can have a negative impact on the well-being of the child), it is time to do- ek ghav doh tukda.
Instead of showing that, which will make ALL viewers happy, the CVs have resorted to turning our dashing Shiv into some meek fool who stands helplessly while his darling is harassed. Where is the Shiv from last year's monsoon?

Tell me when Amma falls flat on her face and I will watch again.

I am now guessing. They may not be getting dates from Chacha-Kusumlata and Mitu-Venu so they are now into this "my culture is better than yours" drama. But in the process they have devalued Shiv's character as a helpless onlooker.

Sorry for all the question marks but yesterday's episode was that's it - a big question mark!! Shiv la konitari Glucon-D pajava mhanje tyachya madhala angry young man parat jaaga hoil. Dadi aani Babuji phakt darkalya phodatat pan shevati Amma tiche tech khare karte. Amma ne tar saglya seema kevhach paar kelya aahet (especially when she asked Sarla to delete Gauri's messages from Shiv's phone in the separation track). Tila ajun kahich shiksha nahi zhali aahe. The isolation is driving her to be even more vindictive towards her pregnant daughter in law, that's wrong on so many levels.

BTW I changed my mind regarding Shiv drinking Glucon-D. Apurva.you seem to be quite positive about it and hope the CV's give it a twist you predicted. But IMO, with Amma in such a vile mood to trouble Gauri (Amma fully knows Gauri is allergic to the oil) it will take ages for Amma to reform howsever sweet Gauri tries to be with her. Again, it will probably take a severe "jhataka" for Amma to realise Gauri's worth.
