Mulga mulgi gender bias madhye apan sudharlo nahi ajun.. its is prevalent more among educated people. Yes 1 to 5 percent sudharna zali aahe... we have a long way to go..

In yesterday's newspaper some Hindi serial artists have commented our serials are regressive. In marathi serials KDP takes the cake for ladies taking dokyavarun padar and Amma insisting only those bahus are respected who give birth to son in their family. Most regressive ever.

I wonder what will be the reaction if some serial shows North Indian girl married into a conservative maharashtrian family refuses to wear the mangalsutra because it is not in her tradition and it can be taken as a sign of slavery to her husband?

As for the belief that Bahus are respected only if they give birth to a son. Highly regressive. Absolutely agree. But a fact of life not just in Benaras but all over India (including urban India)

Frankly, how many Indians (including educated ones) know that a father's chromosomes alone decide the sex of his child?

Actually by bringing this up in popular serials and then demolishing it logically is the need of the hour. That is what KDP is attempting IMO.

Chromosm matter is silly and illlogical turn taken by CVs and not regressive. The base of kkk itself is illogical. Criticism of KDP need not be replied with criticism of kkk every time.

I am feeling happy that I am away from KDP during all this crap. But seriously missing Rishali...however, it is certainly better than watching Amma and her vicious rudhis...

why can't they shift the focus to chacha or mitu venu or something else for some time, we will have relief from Amma for a while...

Well, chromosome issue was related to KDP only (a general question related to KDP's present situation of wanting a boy and the ignorance of the people in general) and not in relation to KKK at all.. Why is it always construed that it is criticism of KKK.?

KDPfan, I know this Amma rudhi episodes are getting on the nerves but after bringing it to this stage, ultimately the CV's have to close this rudhi chapter. Even if they move to Chacha and Mitu-Venu, they will have to come back later to Amma Gauri issue. I would hope and pray they quickly get over the Amma rudhi issue and then move to somewhat more pleasant issues of Chacha and Mitu-Venu. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Actually, hoping they sort out the present issue and close the serial because I don't see Chacha or Mitu Venu tracks likely to happen. And if it does happen it will be most probably done within a couple of episodes.

That's my POV.
