I think Suruchi has said it. Though I don't watch hindi serials, I do scan through the channels. I don't think any Marathi serial has reached the levels of melodrama that is shown in most hindi serials.

I've watched my fair bit of Ekta serials (last being Bade Acche Lagte Hai, which I quit after the leap).

You feel she or her main script writer were jilted in love as youngsters, and so swore never to have a serial where their couple had a happily ever after. Divorce is mandatory, remarriage is also mandatory (especially for the male), and multiple separations (each longer than the previous one!), are the norm as well. If they have kids, one of them is sure to develop a hate of either parent growing up.

It's got so bad that if a serial comes from the Ekta stable, I've sworn never to watch it. I dunno if she's changed her style in recent times, but I saw glimpses of Kalash (Life OK at 8.30) and didn't appear that much had changed.

So right Nachiket. These three have bonded so well. As all three are my favourites I really enjoyed watching their Gudhi Padva outing together. No chance that Prajakta will be isolated. These three have been friends much earlier (there were photos of Prajakta and Rishi together long back probably due to the Sameer Khandekar connection) and it is not as if they came together for the first time during Gudhi Padva..
