the way Dadi proudly announces that someone is going abroad reminds me of how my grandmother said her grandparents used to say the same thing. that the family should do well and become "engineers" and go abroad!!!

Yesterday's epi was the typical KDP "happiness personified" epi. We were expecting a lot of drama and tantrums by Amma and may be objections by Dadi for the HM. But our CV's did a marvelous job of showing everything logically and ending happily within one episode and without any OTT drama. Even the high expenses for HM were well reasoned out by Shiv. Nothing left to vague interpretations. And Dadi's progressive nature again highlighted by her easy acceptance of the HM. Even Amma's resistance was token. You can see that Amma is progressively mellowing down. No typical saas bahu OTT drama. That is the beauty of this serial. The change in Amma is imperceptible and slow but very logical. Gauri's excitedly offering Amma her favourite bata vada in previous episode and Amma's faint smile in response is how Gauri is slowly winning over Amma with her heartwarming and childlike simplicity. No "sudden realization at the end" drama.
Jiyo KDP CV's and Jitu Bhai! You have turned the Saas bahu story on it's head.

Agree wholeheartedly. I would like Shauri to discuss when they had feelings for each other. Seems like they were attracted to each other from the onset. Remember the Gas cylinder scene where Gauri puts the haldi on Shiv? Shiv is attracted to Gauri when they found "Baba's Bike" and Gauri gives him a pin and opens her hair. Infact, the same honeymoon background music is played then.Waiting eagerly for Monday!

I too agree 100%. They need to show them chatting, sharing childhood stories, stories about how they slowly found out that they love the other one and what struggles they went through before coming to that realization which was to change their lives for ever. They have never really talked at length about how they become so close.

They should share dreams about their future, how many kids they would like, and when to have them :), what their aspirations are, not just for self but for their loved ones too as they are a very family-oriented couple.

@Rujuta1, Gauri unknowingly was attracted to him right from the start. Even when in an early episode when her marriage was being fixed to Vicky, when Mitu asked her to close her eyes and think of her life partner, she saw Shiv's face and she was shaken, and her expressions showed that she was wondering how come she sees Shiv when she is supposed to get hitched to Vicky.

Ohhh I can't wait for HM. Angarwar kata ala ahe anticipation madhhe.
