We have seen Piyush in 'gunDA purush dev' and Ajay Poorkar is the good old Inspector Vazalwar from 'Asambhav', among other things. He is probably the best gAyak naT today. He acts in musicals too.

Ahhh...Piyush Ranade 😛, haven't seen after his serial with Tejaswini P. , am not remembering the name of that serial. So, I need to check out the episodes of Asmita now 😉. Perhaps next week.

Just read this feedback about Asmita on it's FB page by Sapu from Mumbai : Exapnd the posts to page on the LHS of the page and you can read it - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Asmita-Zee-Marathi/1405456163040006

I have not watched many episodes of CID, but had seen ek shoonya shoonya *ing Dilip Kulkarni years back, which was really awesome. But those of who see CID regularly, perhaps they are coherent with the views of this Sapu.

And welcome to the forum MM -murudeshwar 😊

Saw pallavi joshi on sagarika music award function on ZM after long time. She seems to hv put on lots of weight. They focussed camera mostly on rietesh deshmukh as he was only celebrity in audience. Why ZM loves mansi naik & her vulgur dances god knows.

Two other fetishes of ZM are:
1. Laavni: They seem to have decided on promotion of Laavni as their top objective.
2. Lakh Lakh Chanderi Tejachi Sari Duniya: ZM seems to have bought rights to this song. As a result, we are subjected to this unofficial ZM Diwali Anthem at every darn function organized by ZM!

Can't agree more about Manasi Naik & her dances that somehow manage to come across as vulgar.

I am not sure if I want to be happy that Huffington Post has started HuffPost India, a collaborative effort with TOI.

Perhaps I am biased, but I hate to see negative news about India, NYtimes always makes it a point to have such news on the front page...increases in dog biting incidences, rape cases, poverty, corruption, pollution and then get an Oscar by highlighting all of these in movies like Slumdog Millionaire 😡. It's hard to in the first place face that these are facts but harder is taking the criticism on these by the Westerners.

I would like to quote this from the article : My India has always been filled with enterprise and growth, Bollywood stars and big dreams. Yes, we still have our demons to overcome.

And I just dread these demons from being over publicized.

Have a good day folks 😊

I swear Neela...i had thought things would've changed somewhat after Modi's visit there...This statement of his i will never forget, "There was a time when India was considered a land of snake charmers...but unlike our ancestors, we now play with the mouse". Its a pity, that some perceptions are just ingrained...no amount of development on our part will change it 😕

So true about perceptions, Neela, Vidya and others I want to share one 'Not so old' experience of mine. Two persons from our US customers were here in India in 2012 for audit of Pharmaceutical company. They were with Paharmacy background and Were on their 1st visit to India. I was interacting with them and coordinating their visit. Somebody in US had told them they should carry their Drinking Water for whole trip (of about 2 weeks!) with them. I told them it will not be required and they can get bottled mineral water everywhere in India. But they didn't believed me and brought water from US in suitcases. The suitcase were so heavy, two persons were needed to lift them at a time.

Amhi fakta dokyawar haat marun ghetala. Dusare Kay.

The purpose of giving technical background is; their company buy pharmaceutical products from India. But, even then these pharmacists could not believe that India can have water complying EPA standards.

Of course Mishkil, that's what our PM had meant...Today our country has come so much ahead in all fields, but still we need to prove ourselves 😊

Yeah Dilip, some things just cannot be changed...so all we can do is just bear with it 😊
