Hello MKAPIANS..
After all we have seen in the past 9 episodes, I like to pose a question to which I like to know your views.
IS KRISHNA IN THE WRONG?
Yes, No or on the fence?
In my opinion, he is not right in hiding the incident from Pratigya and him messing with the evidences is questionable, as his actions are indicating the incident to be a murder rather than an accident. However, as a father he is NOT wrong when it comes to hiding Garv's involvement from Balwant.
In the past 9 episodes, Balwant's character has been established to be that of a ruthless man. A man who can burn his own brother's face for no apparent reason. A man who does not care about the law. He did not want Pratigya to fight the case in the first place. He probably took Pratigya, cause he thought she can help unveil the killer. Once the killer is identified, I dont think Balwant will care about the punishment the constitution decides for him. He just wants to punish the killer with his law, ruthlessness' and much more rather than the killer being locked up in prison or an easy hang to death.
Krishna has had experience in the past with families and men like Balwant. In today's episode, SS further establishes the nature of Balawant when he talks to Pratigya, calling him a scorpion, dangerous, not trust worthy. The thakurs very well know what the repercussions of messing with such families are. Remember in Season 1, Krishna's response to SS kidnapping, he went and kidnapped the daughter of the suspect. Why wouldn't he think Balwant would harm Garv should his involvement be revealed, be it an accident.
In today's episode, it kind of scared me the way Balwant eyed Garv when he told Prataigya, that you wouldn't understand my pain of loosing a son as you have your son with you. That creeped me out, and for a moment I couldn't help but think if this merciless man gets to know the truth, he will not even flinch once before harming Garv. In that case, what would the law do? these guys have the law in their pockets. Balwant did use his source to access the accident vehicle illegally, may be to inspect it himself and identify the killer. It is quite clear that Balwant is not interested in a court case or the law, he is just desperate to find the killer and punish him with his own law.
For a moment, lets think that Pratigya manages to prove Garav's innocence in the court of law. None of the Thakurs rightfully get any punishment, does this rid them of Balwant. Not at all, Balwant will attack the Thakurs. In which case, isnt Krishna's fear justified, he is trying to keep the danger away from his family, I cant help but draw reference from the movie Drisyam. Where again to protect his family from an accidental death, the main lead hides evidences.
Inevitably, a war has broken out between the families. Cold for now, but soon to get heated. The premise is interesting, lets see what this means for Kriya as a family and a couple.
