Nov. 3rd Written Update

This story is about Tarvinder Singh. Her family is of her husband, her kids and her in-laws. They are a normal sikh family. Tarvinder would always treat her servants very badly. She wanted everything in her house to be very clean. One day, the servant that was working in her house didnt show up for three days. On the fourth day, when the servant returned, she told Tarvinder that her daughter has caught a very severe skin disease. Tarvinder immediately started yelling at the servant to get out of her house and not to come close to her. She told the servant that she has two small kids in the house and to never come to work at this house again. The servant tells her that she has been working at their house for 12 years and that before Tarvinder married and came into the house, biji (Tarvinder's mother-in-law) never talked to her like that. Then Tarvinder tells her that Im telling you to go and that is enough for you to leave. The servant tells her that my daughter got this skin disease, but anyone can get it and she tells Tarvinder that may God forgive her for her sins. The servant leaves and soon Tarvinder hires another servant.

One day Tarvinder wakes up and sees that there are several red spots on her right hand. She goes to the bathroom and tries to wash it off, but it doesnt go. She soon realizes that she has a serious skin disease. However, she doesn't tell anyone about it. She quietly does all the kitchen work with her left hand. When she goes to drop her mother-in-law (biji), a beggar comes near their car and asks for money. Tarvinder's son, Bobby, says that ew, the beggar is so dirty and he has all these marks on his skin. Biji tells Bobby not to say that or Vahe Guru will be angry. Looking at the beggar, Tarvinder sees the red spots on her hand and realizes her mistake of yelling at beggars.

As a few days pass, Tarvinder is tired of doing all the kitchen work with her left hand. She tells her husband, Jaswinder, about her skin disease. Jaswinder is shocked and tells her that why didn't she tell him before. He tells her that he will take her to the best skin specialist tomorrow morning. When they go to the doctor, the doctor tells Tasvinder that it will take atleast 45 days for her skin to cure.

Tarvinder is upset. When she goes home, her in-laws tell her that they will take her to a special gurudwara and ask Vahe Guru to cure her disease fast. One night, Tarvinder sees a dream where God is telling her that insulting anybody's helplessness is like insulting me. Tarvinder is moved by this and starts treating all the servants in her house nicely, she treats everyone nicely. She slowly starts to realize her mistake. One night, she sees another dream where Vahe Guru tells her that a person who wants to rectify his mistake has true faith in God. She suddenly wakes up after the dream and goes to Vahe Guru's photo and prays. She suddenly notices that the red spots on her hand have dried. She wakes up Jaswinder and tells him that her disease is cured. The next day she goes to get the servant that she threw out. She gives her money to cure her daughter's illness and tells her to come back to work. She also goes to gurdwara and cleans the floor for God's service.

THE END

Thanks for the update Nikki. I liked the episode a lot. The show is great. Each and every episode sends out an important message. In this one, we shouldnt assume we are always better than other people. No one is immune from dieases, ailments etc. Tarvinder never thought of the possibility of being affected by a sickness or disease. When it happened, she realzied she was wrong in always belitting other people. She was a very good person, always prayed for others and never herself. But belitting other people was her one weakness. One should never say 'no' to 'kara parshad' at the Gurdwara either.
