I was thinking the same way at first. Then I gave it some thought and perhaps the creatives are trying to show the reality of india...anything foregin is cool... even though I think the indian culture and people are the coolest.
Also the fact that she left shiv and sid I think is only for this episode. I have this hunch that they are going to be friends again. I think the creatives are showing the reality of friendships. Everyone goes through their ups and downs. In the beginning when mahi had roshni and sid as her best friends and they were there through thick and thin for each other, I found it a bit unrealistic. Though such people exist there comes a time when the limit is reached, and right now in mahi's life i think that limit has reached. Now she will try to move on but realize that her past best friends are her real friends.
I think it's funny how mahi see's a guy that looks her type and instantly has all these dreams about him. I'm sure people do this, but it sets a bad example for kids watchign this show. I hope the creatives show that this is not the way to go about life...
....sorry for this long post... and I don't mean to offend anyone...just my opinion.
