Great post Arshi! Love your last few lines. It has said it all!!!

The story or do I even call it that or just short disjointed docu- segments have taken the place of it. Cant believe was so excited to watch this serial. Just read yesterday's WU and good that I missed the episode. Now the new issue seems to be corruption!!! All the supernatural elements and effects all wasted. What is Tiwari's role? Lets see next what issue they will bring about.

A masterpiece of yours, Arshi!
Sorry the same cannot be said of Mr Babbal's work in MK...

Wonder what led to this Films Division cum Aastha channel (I imagine, having never really watched) effect!!

When the message is not intrinsic to the story, or if there are too many messages (anti-blind faith, anti-corruption, anti-pollution, anti-profiteering etc. etc.) it just adds to the "noise", looks ridiculous, and makes idiots out of the viewers. Thank you Life OK! Thank you Mr Babbal! 😕🤬🤢

In this connection, have to mention a Malayalam movie "How Old Are You" which had a very strong message about (believe it or not 😉) organic farming - but it was relatively well-embedded though filmy style, in the story of the protagonist and her journey from doormat-hood to self-esteem. I believe the movie was a hit and is now being remade in Tamil/Hindi?? Messages are all well in moderation, and when woven into the story.

Too good Arshics!

I've never been so annoyed with a rushed ending of a finite series than I am here! I always cursed shows like EHT and MNB for ruining it, but this has gone far beyond that. Too far! It's like Babbal sir has stopped worrying about the script and is just doing whatever he feels like.

Babbal sir going with the flow is one thing, but going with the flow and forgetting everything is another. You're doing the latter. Please stop!

Airshi ji, you are so right. Yes the informative lectures were fine, but to dedicate almost 2 episodes to that subject? A bit much! Less is more Director Sahaab! After all this show is not a public service announcement. So keep the sermons to a minimum and entertainment to the maximum.

I think they need to concentrate on the story they were telling so far! Considering there are only 17 more episodes to go, each episode is equally important. There should be no skip worthy episodes now!

Hope things get back on track from next week, and bashans get decreased and action gets increased! Great post as always! :)

I wouldn't have minded the sermons so much, had they been aligned to the theme. This abandoning the original story and going off track is very annoying

Zero expectations from the show.😡 Its frustrating to watch the show.

Some of the songs that come to my mind :

Ram Teri Ganga maili ho Gayi papiyon ke papa dhote dhote - shiva to Allahabad wale

Kya se Kya ho Gaya bewafaa tere pyaar mein

Chaha Kya, Kya Mila, bewafaa tere pyaar mein ------ Us to Babbal

Zero expectations is right

Not just Tiwari, what is anybody's role? Just like the Saraswati, the story and the characters are also missing.

Anyway, good to see that Babbal didn't forget that tiwari was the DM, and didn't show him as a doctor or something, the show is so full of ghajini moments that now I am grateful for all these small mercies

Very true happy, it's not about the message, it's about the whole logic ki vaat.

Now it's just noise as you so aptly put it!

I really should learn Malayalam, it's has such a rich cinema! I am still looking for subtitled drishyam, and even the Hindi remake looks interesting. I might just see it, Ajay Devgun notwithstanding!

There have been a lot of movies with social themes, but they are meaningful if they tell the story well, otherwise even the message also falls flat!

I too feel that Babbal ji has given up on the story and is now just killing time till the scheduled time is over.

Sad, that a story which started with so much richness has become so bland.
