More than the death scene today i found gautams silent and restrained performance , depicting the pain of rudra , a treat to watch . The subtle display of expression on his face when he out of habit is using mai-muis pallu to wipe of his hands and suddenly realises she is no more , was superb . Seemaji and gautam were good in the death scene , though as Arshi says it could hv been shorter . And i am very glad Maya was sent away to get the doctor , while the scene was at its peak intensity . I am going to miss seema mam and her scenes with gautam very badly . I hv seen seemaji in jyst 2 projects , Bandit queen and Mk . She has played such contrasting characters , Phoolan Devi and maimu with perfection . Seemaji is an actress who is at par with global actors like Helen Mireen . Now looking forward to scenes of Gautam with ketaki Dave and Manish Wadhwa

And yes, i agree with Arshi that actor who is playing Pandey manages to look really menacing and is not a caricature in the name of villain

Agree, Seema Biswas is very good. You can watch her in Khamoshi, she plays the role of a deaf/dumb mother, married to a deaf/dumb husband. She is just too good. I also found the death scene a bit too prolonged, and gautam was very restrained in his grief.

What an episode. So touching and natural. Superlative writing and direction.
Seema ji was little bit below her usual superlative levels when showing pain after being jabbed(initially). She was back in her zone later.
I too felt that the dialogues were hard to understand in their conversation. But even that felt natural. Mai and her bachua were talking and only they needed to understand each other and they did.
It was Gautam who stole the show. His despair, pain, emotions were all outstanding.
Mai was the other name for emotion for him. He cried and pleaded while she was dying. When she left, the emotion went away with him. The tears stopped. Only the pain remained. And it showed in his eyes. It was not like he was being stoic. Every move of his showed lot of pain and grief.

Well said Arijit, I don't think balivesh knows what he has unleashed, and khoye paye pande, his end is near, ab woh toh gaya

Arshi and Santhi, very well explained. Nothing more to add. Lovely and very emotional episode it was.
The bad guys are so evil. Pandey, Balivesh, Greyerson.. So easily they torture and kill and don't feel a thing. Once Rudra gets his hands on him, Pandey will be only Khoye Pandey.

The rest - waiting for everything to unfold and fall into place. By next week we'll get a good idea about Maya also. Is she with the Swami under pressure or just innocently believing him or something else.

Even I am looking forward to ketki daves entry, she too, given a good role, really makes it come alive.

I think she also is one of the rakshaks.

I just hope that Maya is not in the enemy side, for Rudra to have his heart broken again would be really devastating. Btw, I don't think Rudra knows who balivesh is, so he is not likely to suspect anything tomorrow

Khamoshi is one of my all time fav movies, thanks to Seema Biswas, nana patekar, Helen and the amazing music! These stalwarts made the movie amazing!

Hats off to the CV team for conceptualisating the pallu scene, all too often death scenes on telly are so full of cliches. Here for Rudra, he was tied to her pallu, it was his solace, the thing he held on to in times when he needed comfort. The scene where he held on to it, as if searching for her, as if it was her, loath to put it down, very nice.

That's what pre-scripted shows are about, they give writers and actors time to bring out their best.
