Is romance on the cards for Rudra & Maya OR is she a part of a larger conspiracy? #Mahakumbh@gautam_rode

The gentle thumping sound you're hearing is me congratulating myself n my sister on our pretty genious guess.😉

We always thought some thing about Maya not quite adds up.

I think here they'll follow the Krish track, (another super hero flick ) , just like Priyanka Chopra, here too Maya might be a trickstar , but who'll fall genuinely for Rudra over time , n then finally when Rudra was in love with her too her secret'll be revealed n Rudra will turn his sexy back on her.

Or , black mail vi ho sakti hai, hai na ?? 🤔 Like in the first Wolverine movie , Silver fox was ??
But I read your post taking 15 minutes to reread it 2 times , n I watched all the episodes too. N yes, you're right I'm again having Jodha syndrome , gang ho over Maya , some thing about her enchants me. 🤣 You know me so well. 🤣
Especially that moment when after Rudra's very 1st encounter with Prapuu Yadav Rudra left fuming... n then Maya came n when Rudra left the spot, Maya said she'll talk to him n when she turns some thing in her face shifts n she looked pretty mysterious to me. 🤔
Your analysis is beautiful, but I agree with some parts n some parts I've to disagree. I'd have loved to discuss them at length with you but I'm knee deep in my pracs , last one will be on 15th n then I'm free, phew ! 🤢

My dear Shreya ,

I have always liked instant retribution, especially since it happens so little in real life. And when the bad guys are bashed up with ruthless efficiency coupled with a kind of clinical detachment, as was the case here with Rudra, I love it. I loved the teen Rudra's spectacular wrestling bout with that Mahabali even more than this one.

One knows that he is very strong, preternaturally so, thus it does not look fake, like Dev Anand beating up a dozen baddies! And Gautam is compact and has a toned physique, so he can make it look credible. Now I want that MLA's son to be bashed up on Monday. Let us see!

As for khoye paaye Pandey, he is a namoona, and most entertaining in his greasy villainy. Yes, the bit you have cited was very funny. I wonder whether even the Swami knows what all Pandey can get up to.I was in stitches thinking of what would have happened if that cow had moved, and precipitated Pandey's phone in front of the Swami's feet!😉😉

If Balivesh ever found out about his having betrayed his lies to Grierson, Pandey will instantly pass from his present Cyclopean state to a Miltonian one of total darkness (sacrilegious as it might seem to bracket Pandey with Milton even in such a restricted context!).

One request: please hit the Like button when you happen to like anything I write as a standalone post. I keep track of the Likes for my pieces, and would not like to miss out on yours!

Aunty, the post made me chuckle at your excitement over the dishum dishum scenes 😊. I too liked the dishum dishum scenes, and would not complain if we had one each week 😉.

A treat to read your post, as usual. And the best part - despite the post being critical, it never comes across as prejudiced.😊

You are right that the plot is galloping. I feel that this trend might continue till the viewers are introduced to all the characters, and then maybe the plot might slow down with the entire focus on the Mahakumbh event.

Gautam surely seems to have toned down his OTT anger expressions. And it definitely looks better. The week was okay-ish in my opinion.

Apart from the scenes you mentioned in your take-5, I liked one more scene - Pandeyji saying to Swami Balivesh that "janivaar" ki kasm, he would stay loyal to him. This after betraying Rudra's whereabouts (and hence Balivesh's lies) to Greysen. No honour among thieves - as you rightly pointed out.

Apologia and a mini-take on the Monday Mahakumbh 17 episode.

Folks,

I am really sorry that I have not yet been able to reply to all these very interesting comments and the tantalising speculations about apni Maya, because I am struggling to grab some laptop time from devious young teenage guests. If they go to sleep early tonight, I will make an attempt to clear my backlog then, if not, I 'll turn up tomorrow night.

My dear Singapore Fan, your point is very well taken👏, and I cannot imagine how I slipped up and did not note it myself! I will revert on that soonest.

I did manage to reply all the pending comments on my previous thread day before yesterday, and I would request Ela, Ranou, Arshi, Vishu, Abhinaya, Swetha, Shruthi and Kunchu to check out my responses on pages 6-7 of the Symphony of grief and rage thread. I would not like you to feel that I had not responded to such prompt and solid comments!

Yes, Ranou, last night was a real shocker in the precap, but I am not jumping to conclusions yet. It could well be a red herring as large as a salmon from that mischievous Utkarsh. This cat could in fact jump either way, or perhaps both ways! But it was a terrific twist!

However, the Deadly Duo of Maithreyee and Gargi - having floated the Maya as a dark force theory well ahead - must be breaking open the bubbly and dancing a jig, Gargi's practicals or no practicals!

And while I could hardly dance a jig at my age😉, I am nonetheless chortling in glee after seeing that our boy Rudra did make kachumber of the Yadav and his cohorts, exactly as I had wanted him to do!!

But curiously enough, the scene I really loved was the delightful one of Maimuyi communing with her late husband Chandrabhan's bust, and then the bit between her and Rudra at the end of that segment. God, how I am going to miss Seem Biswas and her Maimuyi! She is a jewel beyond compare.

Well, Ranou, when did I not have a lot to write, as all of you know to your sorrow😉? But yes, this is going to be a crackerjack of a week, and I am all set for a roller coaster ride. Balivesh, who now probably thinks he has Rudra safely ensconced in his web, is soon going to find out that he has a tartar by the tail. 😉

I still cannot forgive Utkarsh for having bumped Maimuyi off, but at least there is a halfway valid reason for it. If she had not died, and the last link between Rudra and Banaras and the Manikarnika Ghat had thus not been snapped, he would never have gone to Allahabad and the Mahakumbh, and then of course there would have been no more of our story.

So, folks, hasta la vista or A demain, whichever comes earlier.

And warmest Pongal/ Makar Sankranthi greetings to all of you! I make very nice shakkarai pongal & ven pongal, and I do wish I could e-despatch some to all of you!!

Somehow, I am never able to enjoy Maya. is it with the actress. Not sure. But she isn't able to sizzle the screen. But perhaps that is the plan? For Maya to not sizzle the screen.
How awesome was Seema? The affectionate smiles, the worry lines and her clutching a child-like but grown Rudra. I was thankful to the director for allowing me to watch her on small screen👏
Gautam Rode is always better in the more restrained scenes.
Aww.. Aunty I am as much a fan of dhishum dhishum as any true blue Bollywood masala movie fan.
And I enjoy the solah ka dola, chayalis ki chati look of Rudra
