Neither have it, my dear Sindhu, and in fact I have been enjoying the last few episodes a lot. Ela, it would gladden your heart to know that I recently wrote the following on Khushi's thread in the JA forum, my first on JA in months!

"But that is the whole point, Munni, Jalal these days is NOT a sidekick.

These days, Jalal and Jodha have far more, and far more satisfying scenes together than any time since I can remember in this show. Last night, the whole ched chhad in the beginning with the pseudo-daasi was great fun, and Jalal's deadpan looks as Jodha launches herself on her tirade were side-splitting. He lifted the whole scene clear over the average for such stuff, and his flirting with Jodha was very appealing, and never deteriorated into chichoraapan.

The 2nd scene between Salim, Jalal and Jodha was also very nicely done. Jalal dominated that, with his indulgent dismissiveness towards his angry wife, his assuring his son Ghabrayiye mat, for he would take cafe of his Ammijaan who was now bullying her son as she bullies her husband, and the warm agreement with his son's desire for a wife who would love him for himself. The way in which he patted Salim on the shoulder and walked off, with a throwaway instruction to get ready and turn up at the function with his friends was wonderful. It needs a very special actor to make the commonplace look special.

Yes, Rajat has managed the ageing process expertly - the slight chin stubble, the thickened voice, the greater tehraav when he speaks -- it is all done impeccably. That, and he is now really a Shahenshah, not a joru ka ghulam. I am quite content for the present, and I fast forward all those stupid scenes with Maanbai, Jagat Gosain, who looks 30, and Anarkali. ...

As for Salim not being able to help his looks, my dear Sri, this is show business, and good looks, plus a modicum of variations of expression, are musts, This boy is a mono-expression specialist, and he makes me want to shake him. I doubt if he can get any better, but he surely cannot get any worse!

Anarkali, Maanbai and Jagat Gosain are all terminally irritating. I do not know why that Zilbahar does not remind her daughter that the Shahenshah had believed in her father and declared him innocent. It was the Agra public that hounded him till he had to leave.

And look at the girl, all dressed up in a zari trimmed outfit to get water! Ridiculous.

As for Munni's complaint that Jalal is now not the main lead but only the main lead's father, well, when Amitabh Bachchan plays the pater familias, HE is the main lead, even if his son in Shahrukh or Akshay. Moreover if this Salim was a spectacular find, Jalal might be cast a bit in the shade, but not to worry, this boy will never be able to reach up to even 10% of his Abbujaan. And Jalal-Jodha (she is looking unbelievably beautiful if late) , even in their 40s, will beat the junior team hollow with just 3 minutes in any one episode, and that in terms of both looks and acting".

Ela, I have not given up on JA yet. Amer scenes are awesome and refreshing..But I know its only for a few days and then they will be back with SA more with Ruks. No ruks for past 3 days. its refreshing

You wicked girl, you made me get a stitch in the side for laughing at your quip in blue! Oh Lord, it is spot on and so outrageously funny!

It is because of the total lack of expression in his eyes that they spent a lot a time in over large close ups lingering on his mouth and his moustache! Their romantic scenes are going to be comic treats.

As for Jagat, I agree 100%, and Maanbai makes you want to put a bag over her head to make her stop babbling.

I begin to think all this is deliberate, to make sure the show stays JA and does not become SA.

And when you look at Manbai and Jagat then i feel they are buasas of MUZ rather than other way round.And that pomegranate babes is total rotten pomegranate .

So ,JAjo are like oxygen masks of this show,the moment they are out ,it's dead.

Tsk Tsk Tsk what Am I reading ? A JA post on the MK forum...ha ha. goes to prove just how addicting JA can be. I just caught up on the most recent 3 episodes after skipping for 3-4 wks
