Interesting update. Arjun's pain was well explained. Anyone would feel the way he felt if he has to take up arms against the person in whose lap he has played.

The five year old Arjun running faster and faster in the corridors of Hastinapur. Kunti and Priyamvada are desparately trying to catch up with him. The little toddler did not stop till he reached his Grandfather's chamber.Bheeshm is seriously in conversation with border Security officers.Generally Bheeshm goes to confidential chamber meant to discuss these things.But since he is unwell due to his mental agony caused by Pandu's untimely death he called them there only. Suddenly he felt the tiny hands of Arjun round his neck looking at him in anticipation.His cloths are dusty and his feet carried the dust into Bheeshma's White Dhoti and spread over it. Bheeshma looked down into the hazel eyes of the kid and immediately got connected to them. Those eyes are sharp intelligent and at the same time captivating. Arjun muttered under his breath.' Pitasri Mata is coming But I won't go to her. I don't like to eat ." Bheeshm melted at his innocent banter.' Arjun I am not your Pitasri I am Pitasri to your Pitasri.Call me Pitamah." Arjun repeated the word Ppitamah with curiosity. Kunti entered followed by Priyamvada but stopped on seeing the officers. She said sorry as her son spoiled his clothes. Bheeshm smiled and said.' Don't be sorry Kunti. My Pandu's dearest son is like my son only.You give the bowl to me." He took the bowl and asked Arjun.' Where is your bow? " Arjun became dull.' Pitamah,It was crushed by Dussasan. It was broken." Bheeshm could not see tears in Arjun's eyes. He looked at the officers and ordered.' Go and get a bow for my boy in his size .I don't mean wooden one." The officers looked at each other. They came there to discuss the hostile Yavana king but now they were entrusted with another job.They ran as fast as they can. Arjun's eyes twinkled with excitement.He stood on Bheeshma's lap and kissed him on his cheek to express his happiness.Kunti and Priyamvada were spellbound. Bheeshm made Arjun sit properly and started. You know Arjun in our Kuruvamsh great archers were there in the past...The story continued with Arjun finishing off his food without knowing it. Kunti felt relieved. Finally Pandu's duty is ably attended by his Jyesht Pita. Within two hours Arjun got his unbreakable small designer bow made by the chief Architecht of Hastinapur.As he fixed the arrow on it,Bheeshm couldn't believe his eyes. Such precision at five years of age? His Pandu's son will light up the Kuru clan with his valour. He is certain of that fact,...The Bird Eye...hit by Arjun only...Drona was saved by his Arjun only... The Gurudakshina Drupad was captured by whom? By his Arjun only...The Fish Target was pierced Ofcourse who is the winner? Bheeshma's Grandson,the third Pandav Arjun... Khandava Dahan,The Conquest of Quarters, The Pasupata Adventure,Duel with Siva,Killing Kalakeyas,Nivata Kavachas who did it? The Pride of Kurus his Arjun only.The Uttar GoGrahan His Arjun singlehandedly defeated all of them including that boastful Karn. ... Now he is on the verge of conquering the Invincible Bheeshm.Who else but Arjun can do that impossible feat? Bheeshma smiled with pride and happiness.But will Arjun attempt that heartfully? If he becomes emotional He Bheeshma will have to drag his life further fighting for unrighteous Kauravas and causing loss to Pandavas. No. That should not happen.He should get liberation. That also in the hands of his dearest Grandson who he knew is none other than Maharshi Nar the soulmate of Narayan. Then only he will be able to attain meritorious Lokas and get solvation. Bheeshm came out of his thoughts and observed that it is time to go to Hiranvati river to take bath. It is still cloudy and sunrise didn't happen yet. He has a little hope to meet Arjun there who will come to the river by that time. Bheeshm prevented his personal security and alone walked to the river. As he reached the shore he saw his grandson Arjun standing there staring seriously into the calm and serene waters of Hiranvati. Bheeshm felt elated and placed his hand on Arjun's shoulder. The dearest grandson of Bheeshma turned back and hugged him tight with tears flowing from his eyes.

Ved Vyas particularly mentioned this scene in the Epic. I always adored the bond between Arjun and his Pitamah.

I loved that part where Panchali comes in and takes Arjun away from Bheeshma Pitamah. Even small updates from you are so amazing, and the romance is subtle yet so, so powerful!

Then you five came to me. I got hope that the Kuru Empire will flourish with Yudhishtir as the king and you as my successor.I never felt the need to have my own children. But when you came into my life surprisingly the suppressed fatherhood surfaced and I took delight in nourishing you and grooming you as I wished. When you called me Pitasri you don't know how soothing it was to my heart.But I didn't encourage you to call me so as I was afraid of losing my mental strength and grit .
