The looks of Draupadi are beautiful with her natural love , Indra's son is enamoured by her looks which are filled with the nectar of her love for him,He accepted them as much as he can into his pleased heart as if into his folded hands. Those looks are like Patheyam, the things offered to be used while travelling.Ramarpitam Patheyam Pathi kshemaya Bhavati .That travelling allowance offered by him will contribute to his safety while he travel...Alittle bit complicated but superbly written poem that shows their mutual love. The word that is to be stressed here is Akritrimam ,na kritrimam,Not artificial that means natural. Draupadi's love is described by Bharavi as natural. That itself is a statement that supports Vedavyasa's rendering of Draupadi's love for Arjun that is already discussed here.

To put it in a systematic way and explain as per the true translation it is said-- The son of Indra eagerly received in the cavity of his hands,in the form of his delighted mind, the look of his wife charming to the eyes as provisions for his journey ,offered by his beauteous wife and sweet on account of the flavour of her sincere (unfeigned) love. Dhairyavasadena Hutaprasada Vanyadwipeneva nidagha Sindhuh. Niruddha bashpodaya sannakanthamuvacha kruchraditi Rajaputri. With her peace of mind destroyed by the complete loss of fortitude, like a river in sultry season, deprived of its lucidity by a wild elephant ,the princess spoke thus with difficulty ,with her throat choked and the outburst of tears restrained. The poet describes the state of mind of Draupadi who is on the verge of experience a long spell of separation from her beloved husband . She is agitated on account of her loss of courage and she is like a river in summer season muddled by a wild elephant. Draupadi already suffered mentally and physically because of the insult done to her at the Dyut Sabha. She is enduring a strenuous life in the forest as a result of their loss in the second game of dice. Now she is going to face the most dreaded phase of life in the form of separation from Arjun who is going for penance. As she controlled her tears and made them stay in her eyes ,she spoke with great difficulty and with a broken voice. Great discription of Draupadi's mental agony the root cause of which is her deep love for Arjun. Let us see and feel her pain through the words of Bharavi, an expert in delineating sentiments.

Magnam Dvishachadmani Pankabhute Sambhavanam Bhutimivoddharishyan Adhidvishama tapasam presiddhe rasmadvina Bhrisamunmanobhuh. Draupadi starts her speech in such an effective way that makes Arjun stick towards the fulfilment of his purpose. She says-- you are bent on preserving our glory which as of now is like the precious treasure plunged into the mud of deceit practiced by our enemies. Don't feel unhappy at our separation till your austerities the removers of our mental affliction attain fruits. Panchali knows Arjun will feel depressed at their separation. She also can't bear his absence. Still she has to boost up his determination and will power which are essential to go through rigorous austerities. She reminds him of his noble cause that is to uplift the glory of Pandavas which at the moment is overshadowed by the deceit of the Kauravas. She indicates the dice game and her insult at the Dice game that made the fame of Pandavas diminish and lose its Prakash. She compares it to a precious treasure plunged into the mud of deceit. Arjun only can extract the lost glory from the mud called deceit, through his penance. She pleads with him not to feel the pain of separation till his penance becomes fruitful and helps him attain the Pasupat from the three eyed Lord . Bharavi projected Draupadi's great confidence in her husband and also her fear of him overpowered by the pain of separation before the penance becomes fruitful. The dutiful wife suppressed the lovelorn wife as the need of the hour demands her to do so.

Yes Truely she is unique. I hope you enjoyed Bharavi's Arjun Draupadi that took forward the suggestive romance of Ardi of Ved Vyas in his inimitable style.

Yasodhigantum sukha lipsaya va Manisha sankhyamativartitum vaa Nirutsukanamabhiyoja Bhajam samutsukevankmupaiti Siddhih. Draupadi further tells Arjun.-- Success is like a loving wife comes and sits on the lap of those ,who without allowing their minds to be uneasy, work with strenuous effort s to gain fame or to excel above and counted above every one in general...Here Bharavi describes how focussed Draupadi is to make Arjun attain his goal . She compares success to a loving wife who comes to the lap of her beloved, who attains great heights with hard work ,becomes famous and there by gets counted above all . She hints Arjun that he should try hard and concentrate to fulfill his goal and then success like a loving wife falls into his lap. He should devote himself to his penance which will lead him towards the grace of The three eyed Lord, and there by earn him Pasupat and great fame also . Just perfect the words of Draupadi just like the shafts of Arjun that never miss the mark. Her words also are perfect shots aimed at her beloved husband's heart.

Yasodhigantum...Draupadi further tells Arjun that success like a loving life comes and sits on the lap of those who never allow their minds to be effected by uneasiness ,who do strenuous effort to excel above and counted above every one else. Draupadi hints that Arjun should not let uneasiness caused due to their separation effect his goal. He should concentrate on his penance and attain the unattainable, the grace of Siva in the form of Pasupatha. If he does hard work with dedication then success like a loving wife will come and sit on his lap there by make him counted above every one else. Draupadi's words are like Arjun's arrows that never miss the mark. They will certainly strike the heart of her beloved husband and make him successful.

Draupadi then proceeded to remind Arjun about the infamous dice game defeat and the insult done to her by the Kauravas that wiped off Arjun's victorious journey. Lokam vidhatra vihitasya goptum ...Tejaswitaya vijayaikavritteh ...Pranamivabhimanam. The majestic Kshatriya valour created by Brahma for the protection of the world ,that which is the wealth of kshatriyahood is robbed away ,The self respect is destroyed which is dearer to chivalrous spirits solely bent on victory . ...Draupadi reminds Arjun how his reputation is spoilt because of becoming the victims of Dice game and not reacting to the brutality of the rivals even though his wife's honour is at stake. She says that the Kshatriya valour created by Brahma for the protection of the world is robbed away from him as he chose silence I due to his loyalty towards his Eldest. The self respect which is dearer to chivalrous people like Arjun who are bent on becoming victorious is destroyed as he did not react in the face of such insult and humiliation. Draupadi's intention is clear. She wishes to ignite the rage of Arjuna that was suppressed due to his loyalty to his brother and motivate him to achieve success in his attempt to get Pasupat and other Devine weapons. She cleverly indicates his loss of self respect and chivalry that made him lose his reputation as the undefeated warrior of Aryavarth. Kudos to the wife, the woman and the lover who did her duty perfectly even though she can not bear separation from him .

Prasahya yo asmasu Paraih prayuktah. Smartum na Sakyah kimutashi Kartum Navikarishya...sa tvadvina me Hridayam Nikarah. Draupadi says the indignity in the form of her insult done to them by their rivals is not possible even to think of.or forgive. That memory will become fresh in his separation . It will renew the pain of her heart getting parched outwardly looked healed. Draupadi's wound is her insult done by Dussasan in the Royal court. She avoided thinking about it as it is unforgivable offence done by the rivals. But she somehow managed not to think about it in Arjun's presence. As a result her wound is looking like it got healed outwardly. Now as Arjun is going away from her, she will have unrest in her mind and she may think about the insult done to her. So the wound will again become wet in Arjun's absence. Bharavi here conveys that Arjun's presence will make all the difference in Draupadi's life. With him near her she would not think about her insult but in his absence she may be tempted to think about the humiliation she faced in Hastinapur's Dyut Sabha.
