Finally, I myself found the reference of Karna losing his memory. Now I'm sure neither Karna lost his memory while fighting nor Parashurama cursed Karna. The cursing & forgetting parts are probably added later!

And., I'm really confused on parashuram's curse.. on two minds now..

Everything relating to Karna's final battle does make us think parashuram's curse was later addition. and., your theory is very sound..

But., what about the time when he took his education?!
After education., Karna was cursed by parashuram because he lied to join as a disciple..

If he was not cursed., then

1. Either Karna told the truth and joined rama and didnot give a reason to rama to curse him..
2. Karna lied and completed his education under parashuram without getting caught., again no curse.
3. Karna never took never education from parashuram- I don't know whole thing maybe an interpolation.. just show to Karna bad by making him lie and the curse.. but then., where did pursue education., this again is silly..
4. Karna lied and parshuram considered Karna very dear to him and forgave him.. -possible., but again parashuram is known for his fiery-ness

So., I don't know what to assume.. Brahmashira as well sounds a very good theory here.. but as you mentioned in some ur posts.. it is very clear the weapon is brahmastra..

1. Where is the citation saying Karna approached Drona/Parashurama for Brahmashiras astra, not Brahmastra?
2. Can someone tell me when did Karna lose his memory while fighting? Reference needed strictly.

1. I don't know.. I don't think there is any.. my analysis was totally based Vrish bro's post

2. From section 90 in Karna parva..

Then Dhananjaya desired to shoot a mighty and terrible arrow, made wholly of iron, resembling the poison of snake or fire in energy, and whose whizz resembling the peal of Indra's thunder, and which was inspired with the force of a high (celestial) weapon. At that time, when the hour of Karna's death had come, Kala, approaching invisibly, and alluding to the Brahmana's curse, and desirous of informing Karna that his death was near, told him, "The Earth is devouring thy wheel!" Indeed, O foremost of men, when the hour of Karna's death came, the high brahmastra that the illustrious Bhargava had imparted unto him, escaped from his memory. And the earth also began to devour the left wheel of his car. Then in consequence of the curse of that foremost of Brahmanas, Karna's car began to reel, having sunk deep into the earth and having been transfixed at that spot like a sacred tree with its load of flowers standing upon an elevated platform. When his car began to reel from the curse of the Brahmana, and when the high weapon he had obtained from Rama no longer shone in him through inward light, and when his terrible snake-mouthed shaft also had been cut off by Partha, Karna became filled with melancholy. Unable to endure all those calamities, he waved his arms and began to rail at righteousness saying, "They that are conversant with righteousness always say that righteousness protects those that are righteous. As regards ourselves, we always endeavour, to the best of our ability and knowledge to practise righteousness. That righteousness, however, is destroying us now instead of protecting us that are devoted to it. I, therefore, think that righteousness does not always protect its worshippers." While saying these words, he became exceedingly agitated by the strokes of Arjuna's arrows. His steeds and his driver also were displaced from their usual position. His very vitals having been struck, he became indifferent as to what he did, and repeatedly railed at righteousness in that battle. He then pierced Krishna in the arm with three terrible arrows, and Partha, too, with seven. Then Arjuna sped seven and ten terrible arrows, perfectly straight and of fierce impetuosity, resembling fire in splendour and like unto Indra's thunder in force. Endued with awful impetuosity, those arrows pierced Karna and passing out of his body fell upon the surface of the earth.

If truth was revealed., probably Karna will also jump quickly to save his new-found mummy.. given he was not made king.. two betas are Ka & Ju 🤪

you know na dii., ppl easily defend kunti saying she would be dishonored like hell..had she had revealed truth at this time.. but I think., every body would have supported her.. she had such brave sons..

JAMY!! but the curse was he will forget it in the most needy situationt..or crucial situation amI right?? he forgot it tthen regained it..what is the point of curse..he used brahmastra..at the last attack he made arjun's Ghandiv to drop from his hands..atleast at that time he would have took advantage of killing Arjuna..but he might have thought that he is weaponless..so he used that time to lift his chariot..krishna shouted..arjun shot him..where is this curse comes here.. and what about the other curses..by brahmin for killing cow and the most essential curse by bhoomi devi.."???

and the part that making the curse more silly is Karna firing the same weapon twice soon after 🤔

That is why I'm saying the curse part is a later addition. Also the part when Karna forgets Brahmastra. Not only that, Karna used Brahmastra thrice actually, one time before he 'forgot' Brahmastra and twice after he 'forgot'. How sensible is that?😆
If Karna's dialogues in VH can be a later addition, why these curses and forgetting weapons can't be?😆
I also don't believe the curse of Brahmana. It makes no sense that all of a sudden earth began sinking only because of the bitter, angry words of someone told before many years. How did earth know it was the last moment of Karna? Is that ever possible? Plain nonsense written to mask the reason behind his death.
I'm having an almost filled head now. Can't think anymore. I'll write something on this that looks sane & sensible to me, sometime later.😆

I did read the whole Parashuram episode was a later interpolation somewhere else. But it was more in a negative way.'They' wanted to prove Karna had no advanced knowledge and he was nowhere a good warrior
