Dear I'm sure it was from Ramesh Menon's book. That book has shown Krishna-Yudhi bond very nicely. I can remember some parts of it. There Yudhi already knew Krishna's divinity even before meeting Him, which I have used in my writing.
And how can one say they had no bond in epic? Even KMG and CE have many such scenes. Do you know in Sabha Parva, after building Indraprashtha, when Krishna was returning Dwaraka, Yudhi willingly took the seat of charioteer and drove Krishna's chariot to the boundary of his kingdom. Then Krishna requested him to stop. He stopped, Krishna touched his feet, and he embraced Krishna. Is this not sweet? Before rajasuya Yudhi was so confused that could not even agree with brothers, ministers or Draupadi but called Krishna for advice. Then after hearing about Jarasandha he refused to take risk on Bheem Arjun and Krishna's life, there he said that Bheem Arjun are his two eyes while Krishna is his mind! Is this not beautiful? After rajasuya when Krishna was leaving IP, Yudhi was feeling uneasy to bid Him farewell, he said, "How will I live without you?" Krishna Himself performed Yudhi's abhishek by pouring water from His Panchajanya. Krishna consoled him the most after war while others were annoyed with his repetitive dialogue of taking sannyas. I can't understand why people use to overlook these little parts. Such things will tell you why Yudhi always obeyed Krishna no matter what. Krishna is his mind, so how can he ignore his mind's advice? Greatest proof of their bond is given on the top of prologue of this FF. Yudhi said that it is only Krishna who knows him correctly.

Everything I mentioned is found in KMG and CE 😊 the fact I found cutest is, Yudhi can keep in mind that Krishna is God, but sometimes forget it and becomes worried for his little brother 😳 in the same Jarasandha vadh discussion, once he says Krishna is his mind and he can't take such risk, and then again says, "O Krishna, you are my highest authority" and finally surrenders to Lord saying, "You are the Lord of Pandavas!" I love this double-fold relationship.
Yes Yudhi said in that Jarasandha vadh discussion itself that Krishna and Arjun are inseparable, they cannot live without each other.

@Semadi : Oh! Poor him! That day, and the dyut sabha day, were the two days when God had the remotes of everyone malfunctioning simultaneously. And to see it from a distance, it was all Krishna's doing, he wanted a genocide of the men, freeing the earth from both the men (both good and bad) and cursed/incarnated Gods, so as to put a firm end to Dwapar. And we would have grossly misunderstood him, and so he just created the trail of these incidents, so that we'll get an comprehensible explanation!
The way you took care of Yudi's dilemma was really beautiful! Even while reading I got the confusion! And, then when he finally gets to conclusion, Arjun decides to upset it again! I know how it feels to see your baby brother throwing all the box down, when you're just about to put the last bit of the puzzle in its place!! No wonder Yudi's annoyed! But yes, Arjun has his reasons too!
Then, loved this line- '
And only after my marriage, all problems will be solved!! As if marriage is a very easy task!!'
It would have been the easiest for Yudi if he'd been after Bheem, but then, the family would've got messed up!
But yes, Draupadi had her own skills to charm all of them separately!
Again, poor Yudi! Just now thinking of the unity of the brothers, and now even he's getting attracted to it! And, it isn't his fault if he doesn't understand Draupadi, she was very mysterious in herself!!

@Varaalidi : Draupadi's mind definitely knows what do to, and when to do, tells her heart! But anyway, the five brothers represented the five qualities of a good husband, so Draupadi was bound to get attracted to all of them! But , her fear is completely justified! She is in the most unusual situation, as well as in the exact opposite atmosphere than what was in her father's house! She's bound to get frightened!

@Semadi : Oh! Communication problem has always been a serious one, throughout history! And yes, this sleeping problem too was a difficult one!! And Kunti's adorable! She's so worried about her sons even though she knows that they are almost invincible! And then how can Draupadi not fall at his feet! I sure she feels lucky as she's got him for a husband!

@Varaalidi : Now, the scene is so nicely put!! It has a beautiful and steady flow to it! It gives feeling, that with every sentence Draupadi is advancing towards Yudi and with this, '
Impelled by an instinct I could not explain I rushed up to him and fell at his feet.' falling at his feet!
The Nalayani-Mudgalya story was very nicely put forward! Your writing is always simple and an easy and entertaining read!!

And finally the sleeping problem is solved by simple love and respect on both sides, and with it, I guess, I should turn off my laptop and go to study!! 😳

only you can do justice to your unconventional choice of provoking an deeper examination of an other wise low-key character of Yudhisthira through your writing.
its easier for readers to fell passionate about the other characters who are more in touch with their base feelings but this guy - who was born burdened with being embodiment of dharma and towering implication of first born and divine birth - it takes us time to understand him.
as for me i am still trying - so here is a big kudos from me for your work and belief on him!!👏

Great update Urmila .Love the narrative style .
Youdhisthir speaks out his mind , the inner thoughts revealed in a very beautiful way .
Draupadi thinks , shows a subtle detail , men always speak their minds out , love to reveal , like to order !
But women always think , a thinking mind loves peace , an inherent quality of women folk .
Loved the update .

First of all, a warm welcome to Yudhishthir's palace 🤗
Thank you for your kind words 😊 as for my unconventional style of thinking, well if modern minds are liking to think deeper on them who were marked as villains by Vyasa, then I think this man too deserves some attention from those readers. Hence this little effort from my side 😊 For me he is one of the most misunderstood and ignored characters from MB, so far no author has tried to understand his POV, rather it's a common trend to malign him in modern novels. I want to break these misconceptions.
And, understanding him is not so easy dear 😊 none could understand him even in his times except Lord Krishna. We have to be Krishna for understanding him. I can't claim that I am successful in doing so. My belief on him is strong because I am a Krishna devotee. Krishna did not praise him again and again without reason.

Thank you so so much didi 😊 this was our intention to present both of them together, so that the situations seems more lively with feelings of both 😳 And you are right about the speaking and thinking part though I did not think so much before differentiating the titles 😆
