I wanted to make the 1st chappy long but my exams are starting tomorrow and i didn't have much time to write. 😭
No I am not taking StarKunti into account but the only reason I mentioned Priyamvada is bcoz I felt the need of a helper and adviser in a young Princess's life. In my FF though Priyamvada will be influencing Kunti but won't be taking decisions for her. If you like I can change Priyamvada's name to anyone you like. Kantaben would do?😆

😆I guess u r pretty impressed by Cotty's OS .. no Priyamvada is fine .. Priyanvada means who speaks nicely .. not necessary one who talks nicely will always speak the truth .. in fact truth is mostly just the opposite of nice 😊

Sorry guys. Did not come out exactly the way I expected but I think this chapter would be a nice read anyway.

Chapter 2-The Son of the Sun God

Pritha was cooped up in the single room for eight months and many more days. She stopped her daily walks to the garden, dance lessons and meeting with her friends. Those were terrible days for her. The horror of the happenings and the pain of losing someone that had become so dear to her, who was growing inside her made her heart ache.

Her family and her courtiers missed the sight of the young, naughty princess had become the part and parcel of their life since the day Kuntibhoj brought her from his brother's house. Her mother used to visit her but gave up trying to get her out of the hole after she faced her sullen mood.

The only sign of existence of a young princess was the music that reached in through the windows of every house in the town at night .But not even this music was the cheerful song that Pritha used to sing. It was a sad melody, so high in pitch that it stuck your soul like a thousand knives.

Then one day a song was heard. A song that could raise hope. It was not the same sad melody that Pritha sung every night. It was of a prince- fairer than milk, build of a tiger, lotus like eyes and proud face. The prince had come to rescue the princess from a locked up tower. He wanted to take her to a world full of happiness. Pritha could visualize this prince and sang of his glory. Then suddenly a fog crept on the prince. Pritha screamed and let out her hand in the air to touch the image. But in a moment he was gone. He escaped as a ball of light. Exactly at that time the first rays of the Sun blinded Pritha's eyes. Her body grew warmer and sweat drenched her saree. She screamed in pain. Priyamvada ran to hold her. Pritha again lost her consciousness.

She woke with the weak cry of a baby. Priyamvada helped the young princess to sit straight. Priyamvada put a bundle on her lap. Through bleary eyes Kunti saw a baby as fair as milk. He wore golden armour and rings which reflected the radiance of the Sun. Pritha held him tight. Watching the innocent face Pritha smiled through her tears.

"Kunti we must let him go." Priyamvada told Kunti urgently.

Kunti looked at the baby. She did not want to let go of her lamp of light. But she had to. Pritha had determined her mind. Let hell be hers for this cruel act.

Kunti walked alone to the ghat of Ganga savoring the last look of her first born. She saw the gushing river of Ganga who was the mother of all. She bent her head in silent prayer, "Mata Ganga. Do protect this son of mine as yours. Call me cruel, call me selfish but I cannot keep this son. Let him play on your lap and land him safely. Hand him over to people who shall love him like their own like my parents love me. Let him find all the affection that is due of her mother to her son. I have this wish. I shall ask you for nothing else."

Kunti put the bundle of joy onto the waves. Her hands shuddered and for a moment she felt she would not be able to do this. But the broken and horrified faces of her family came into her mind. She heard noises in her brain. Letting go of the baby she ran from the spot. She ran to her room never looking back. When at last she slipped into the arms of Priyamvada, these were the only words she spoke," I have jumped into a deep dark well. From here I can only go down. Only go down."

It was so heart wrenching 😭.

Kunti had to be make herself cruel and stone hearted to abandon her son - her first born - a divine bundle of joy with the aura of Sun God.

The last line was very touching...

" I have jumped into a deep dark well. From here I can only go down. Only go down."
Kunti realized that is no coming back from what is already done. She may not be able to see her firstborn from that day. She has committted a crime that she cannot forgive herself for abandoning her firstborn.

Very well written. Post ur next part soon.😊
