There have been great Mahatmas who have lived in this land who have rubbished Aryan race theory . See below link on what Swami Vivekananda had to say on this.

Mimi,
I would like to give a writing on this Aryan invasion stuff (it's a myth), unfortunately need to find some time to write😔.

My concern is our own people believing " Indian history" through the eyes/mouth or whatever of imperialistic British. It hurts we Indians 😭

Thanks for welcoming me :)

I'm now reading this..

http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4085281&TPN=4

and was relief when finally vrish enter to comment.

One think I want to highlight is this statement:
"Revealing to Karna his secret just before the war, rather than early on, such as after the Varnavarta incident, when Karna would have had more leeway in joining the Pandavas, or at least not taking part in Duryodhan's plots against them"

Not only Krishna, it should also apply to Kunti. If they really want Karna in pandava side, why they reveal the secret after soo late. Pandava is said full of dharma. Revealing this secret (let say in Rangbhoomi when Kunti realize hes her son) and accept the result should not be a big deal. and if it would become a big deal Krishna will be there right..
They just throw down golden opportunity to make Karna become in dharma side, aka Pandava family.

Ok.. I'm continuinng to read the above thred

I am reminded of Tirumoolar's song , a great Siddhar he talks about cosmos/realization.

He says (loose translation)
Just as how a wooden toy elephant obscures the wood, the consciousness is obscured in us/universe.

Maratthai maraitthathu mamadayanai
marathul marainthathu mamadayanai
Paratthai maraithathu paaradu bhootham
Parathil marainthathu paaradu bhootham,

The Story of Mahabharat obscures the hidden meaning. I am sure Vyasa wouldn't have written a story to read like in history book. Mahabharat is more profound. In my POV, Karn symbolizes the Sixth sense. Probably that's one of the reasons why he (Karn) is great and we Karnali's love him most 😊

Raghu ji thanks for the link .. I read first half n what I understand Swami Vivekananda was against the English scholar's perspective of Aryan invaders coming n winning our land n Native Indians were not enough educated but the fact is Native India was a more enriched civilization .. what I guess Mimi too said .. it was an urban civilization where Aryans started with rural civilization ..

Quoting Swami Ji's citation from the very link-

"Just read the Ramayana, and you will find that Ravana was rather more and not less civilized than Ramachandra. The civilization of Lanka was rather higher and surely not lower than that of Ayodhya"

I guess what modern historians are saying Indus valley civilization was at its saturation point when Aryans entered India .. The lack or idea of iron and horse [though some part of this civilization knew the use of Horse] made them retreat but that doesn't say they were not civilized

Ramayana is a clear picture of this .. Gold Lanka is a vivid example of how civilized "non-Aryan" aka "Rakshashas" were ..

And I found the Aryan's Europian specially Greek connection odd .. I didn't know Europian Historian had such notion as the word itself is derived from Sanskrit word Arya .. Moreover, Aryans were not inhabitants of Europe but Asia [most probably from Iran] .. I guess even Western Historians too believe so

I know this sudn't be discussed in Karna AT but cudn't stop myself from replying .. thanks RaghuJi for sharing this link .. it helped me to understand another connection what I found while reading Persian myth n Basu sir said about the swapping of Devas n Asuras 👍🏼
