Muskan & DG... He should have been called Vasusena and Radheya.. though the text mentions him as Karna throughout..

Calling him Karna is somewhat justified in the epic, Vaisampayana, before narrating the whole story in great detail to Janmajeya, gave a very short overview, he mentioned two times about how Karna got his name.

As he has already told Janmajeya about the eternal name of Karna, he can continue calling him Karna.

The meaning of Karna's name is a confusion.

KMG says he got it after he peeled out his armor. But Bibek Debroy in his translation of the Critical edition says that Karna means the son of Vikartana ( Sun god = Vikartana)
