Takshak tells Karna he will sit on his arrow. Karna isn't happy and wants Duryodhan to trust his skill. Shakuni tells him not to worry about dharma and adharma, as these definitions can be changed after they obtain victory.
Shakuni reminds Karna that if Takshak is able to kill Arjun, then Karna's life will be spared.
The sun is about to rise. Arjun and Karna are both shown in their respective camps wearing their battle armour.
Karna sheds a tear and sees Kunti standing next to him. Kunti holds up a dagger and begs Karna to take her life so that she is spared the pain of seeing one of her son's die.
Karna comes and flings the dagger away. He tells her that her words do not benefit a warrior's mother.
Karna reminds her that she is the Queen Mother, the mother of all the citizens, and that her son's skill would be tainted if she carried out this task. Karna begs her to let her sons carry out their duty. Karna says the whole world knows Kunti as the mother of 5 great warriors, and even after the war is over this truth will remain the same.
Kunti asks Karna for permission to reveal the secret of his birth after the war.
Karna taunts Kunti, that from her words it sounds like she had already decided that Arjun will win and Karna will die. Kunti denies this.
Karna agrees that the Pandavas can perform his last rites as his brothers.
The 17th day of the war begins! Arjun and Karna face each other in battle. They taunt each other (Shalya joins in too!) They begin to shoot arrows at each other.
Shakuni and Duryodhan wonder why Karna wont summon Takshak and kill Arjun.
Arjun's arrow destroys the overhead of Karna's chariot. Karna asks Shalya why he didn't move the chariot, but Shalya taunts him saying that if he had moved then the arrow would have taken Karna's head off, don't you have even that much knowledge 😆
Shalya tells Karna not to blame his failure on the charioteer.
Karna shoots an arrow that builds a wall in front of Arjun's chariot, and tells Shalya to move the chariot, but he refuses. Arjun breaks through the wall. Shalya continues to taunt Karna, and Karna takes the bait, threatening to kill Shalya.
Shalya says of course you can kill me, I am unarmed. But the one who is armed, you're not able to kill him.
Shalya shouts across to Arjun to put down his bow so that Karna will have a better chance of killing him. 😆 Karna gets off the chariot, and tells Shlaya he has no need for him. Arjun tells Karna he doesn't kill anyone standing on the ground while he himself is on a chariot.
Karna asks Arjun to get off his chariot, but Krishna forbids this. Krishna says that by getting off his chariot, Karna has surrendered. There is no point duelling with him any more.
Precap: Karna (back on the chariot )summons Takshak on his arrow and releases it. Krishna and Arjun look worried.
