Yesterday's episode gave me mixed feelings...

The episode starts with Draupadi's dialogues to Duryodhan...

I agreed with some of the points...

Duryodhan had Bhishm, 99 brothers, etc...but his greed and ego ruined everything...

Dushasen's killing should be an example to those who disrespect, molest and rape women...👍🏼

However, I didn't like it, when Draupadi said that she will save Duryodhan. Like really?

What will she do? She will give advice to her Samrat to spare Duryodhan, just she did with that Shastraharan?????????????

This is too much!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know why the CVs are doing this to Draupadi...

The CVs have whitewashed Karna, Arjun, etc.

They have blackwashed Duryodhan, Shakuni, Drupad, etc.

But they are white-washing and blackwashing Draupadi, in turn. Why?

What is this need to white-wash Draupadi by showing her so forgiving?

Her dilemma in washing her hair with blood is justified, bcoz, that is NOT there in the epic.

Even stopping Bhima is ok, since she was a woman, and it's not as easy for a woman to witness bloody actions, as it was for a warrior like Bhima.

But this forgiving Duryodhan?

This is too much.

There is no shame in being unforgiving towards those people who molest women.

Dushasen disrobes her, Duryodhan laughs at all this and threats her like a concubine by showing his left thigh...when she was his elder sister-in-law...And in those days, elder sisters-in-law were similar to mother figures...

What is the shame in being unforgiving to such a man????????????

The CVs have shown Draupadi to be extremely vile and rude, during her Swamvar, where she was required to be only cordial.

And now, when she's supposed to be fiery, they are making her Mother India!!

Her characterisation is decent, I admit, but it is distorted.

There is no need to whitewash Draupadi here, coz, a woman who has been shared, staked, disrobed, kidnapped, molested, etc will tend to be bitter and unforgiving...

So, it's not wrong if she spits fire once in a while...

However, I am glad to see Draupadi bathing in milk, with a satisfying smile on her face. 😃

Her smile reflected satisfaction, calm and happiness.

I loved it when she said that she will wear her Choodamani again after the victory of the Pandavas...

And Pooja is amazing...👏

She looks beautiful, and her eyes...

After her bath, Pooja looks BEAUTIFUL, with those gorgeous eyes...

Next, Shalya...So irritating!!

And that Takshak scene...

I hate that recycled actor...

And why are they showing Karna as a participant in this Takshak plot?

I loved it when Karna pointed out that Ghatotkach was family, but Takshak is not!!

Anyway, it seems like Kunti has gone to emotionally blackmail Karna again...😆

And loved SRJ...

Lord Krishna was a brilliant strategist as well as brilliantly eloquent...

He said, "I will not do chhal to save Arjun!"

But he can certainly do chhal to kill Karna!! 👏

My take on them doing this to Panchali -

When the show started the male actors were the bigger draw. And of course, our PHs would NEVER EVER make the heroes look bad. If in the actual Epic, they do something bad, it OF COURSE HAS TO BE in response to something bad done to them. Hence the silly speech during Swayamvar

Then since VH, they started figuring out how much of a TRP magnet she is and tried to WW her

In that case, it's a disgusting approach.

The CVs probably thought that most viewers will watch Mahabharat only for Karna and Arjun, apart from Lord Krishna.

The CVs did not realize that there is a huge fan base for Draupadi as well. 😉

Despite all her "arrogance" and "vile" and "characterless" nature, there is a huge fan base of feminists/ wannabe feminists(like me) in India, who love Draupadi...😆

They didn't realize that a lot of people(not all) not only love Draupadi, but also the actor playing her.

But Anu my question is again the same here .Is there any need to WW panchali with respect to her attitude towards kauravas

After Dyut sabha she wanted them all dead and destroyed is there anything wrong in that ?I don't think so ?So what is the need to WW

WW wrong actions that is ok but WWing actions that are not even wrong is just irritating

WWing Pandavas and Karna during DS is atleast understandable becuase they were wrong but why change Drauapdi's attitude towards kauravas?

i see this nothing more than Cv's reiterating the image of a typical indian woman through ⭐️panchali.A typical Indian woman should always be merciful and compassionate .That is what is irritating me the most about this whole portrayal

Well, the PH is looking for TRPs. For all their proclaimed 'modern' attitude, they wouldnt do anything to portray the male characters /actors as doing something bad which may affect the TRPs

Rohit, Aham, Shaheer and Saurabh were already well known names before MB as far as I understand. Pooja was a newbie.

Look at how they made Yudhi into a total bad-ass😲😆. Karna and Krishna's bad parts were erased with magic marker. Arjun is now 'hriday ka ati komal' to borrow Frapps's phrase😆 and some of Bheem's best moments (since Saurav was also new) were handed to Arjun

Panchali started out the show portrayed as somewhat arrogant . Then she became THE BIG DRAW.👏. Actually I would give credit to her co-actors in doing what the PH didnt. Mostly SRJ, they played off each other so beautifully👏. Shaheer too, in the tidbits the CVs decide to hand out. Rohit has played the most Patnivrata Pati Yudhi😆

And as far as the typical Indian bahu attitude, I am guessing thats what they think the audience wants to see in a protagonist. They may be right.

I guess what I am trying to say is, to solve this mystery, 'Follow The Money'
