Who said Karna defeated Abhimanyu when the former broke his bow?.

That's why I say - Selective reading is bad.

Breaking ones bow is not considered defeat in any sort of way, Karna once broke bow of Satyaki, Bhima and Dhristdyumna along side having a duel with Arjuna. Nobody was defeated in that battle but Karna broke the 3 warriors bow fairly, Abhimanyu's case is a little similar, Karna broke Abhimanyu's bow fairly.

I know when Abhi enter chakravyuh he must have some soldier. But when all Maharathi surround him, he didn't have any soldier. May be the soldier are distributed or may be killed.

In respect of Kavach, it was hard to broken. It was not mention that kavach was destroyed. Remember the final blow of mace was at abhi head.

And just because Karna was involved in Abhimanyu's murder does not make that fair darling,.. 😆 Ok accepted he did not stab him, but he was definitely one of his "murderers". And according to me, that is unfair. When you have one 16/32 year old boy fighting 7 Mahrathis inside a Chakravyuh it cannot be termed as fair.

Even if Karna is not involved, I am yet to be convinced it was unfair from the very narration.. It was sad and Abhimanyu was brave are the two facts I agree with..

Thanks for clarifying about other soldiers.. I think even if they were there, it wont be mentioned as they dont really matter.. The armor was cut - probably the strings making it fall down..

Starbharat show it correctly. It was Drona who was firing arrow from inside the chakravyuh. Kmg mention that Drona with his bow did not allow to any pandav soldier to come nearby,

What abhimanyu did is to enter into the chakravyuh and engage with Drona and other Bowmen and injured them so that his army can come close to chakravyuh and fight with soldier.

This is what I understand.

O mighty bowman, O son of Radha, if competent, do this. Making him turn back from the fight (by this means), strike him then. With his bow in hand he is incapable of being vanquished by the very gods and the Asuras together. If you wish, deprive him of his car, and divest him of his bow.'. Hearing these words of the preceptor, Vikartana's son Karna quickly cut off, by means of his shafts, the bow of Abhimanyu, as the latter was shooting with great activity. He, of Bhoja's race (viz., Kritavarman) then slew his steeds, and Kripa slew his two Parshni charioteers. The others covered him with showers of arrows after he had been divested of his bow. Those six great car-warriors, with great speed, when speed was so necessary, ruthlessly covered that carless youth, fighting single-handed with them, with showers of arrows. Bowless and carless, with an eye, however, to his duty (as a warrior), handsome Abhimanyu, taking up a sword and a shield, jumped into the sky. Displaying great strength and great activity,

and describing the tracks called Kausika and others, the son of Arjuna fiercely coursed through the sky, like the prince of winged creatures (viz., Garuda.). 'He may fall upon me sword in hand,' with such thoughts, those mighty bowmen, were on the lookout for the laches of Abhimanyu, and began to pierce him in that battle, with their gaze turned upwards. Then Drona of mighty energy, that conqueror of foes with a sharp arrow quickly cut off the hilt, decked with gems, of Abhimanyu's sword. Radha's son Karna, with sharp shafts, cut off his excellent shield. Deprived of his sword and shield thus, he came down, with sound limbs, from the welkin upon the earth. Then taking up a car-wheel, he rushed in wrath against Drona. His body bright with the dust of car-wheels, and himself holding the car-wheel in his upraised arms, Abhimanyu looked exceedingly beautiful, and imitating Vasudeva (with his discus), became awfully fierce for a while in that battle. His robes dyed with the blood flowing (from his wounds), his brow formidable with the wrinkles visible thereon, himself uttering loud leonine roars, lord Abhimanyu of immeasurable might, staying in the midst of those kings, looked exceedingly resplendent on the field of battle.'"

when there are four warriors to merely cut his bow hilt and make him carless

how can it be called a fair fight????

Even if he cut his bow in a one on one then how can you call it a fair fight???

Drona wanted Karna to cut of Abhimanyu's bow and strike him when he is retreating, Karna did what he was told, he broke Abhimanyu's bow fairly, the other warriors broke his chariot, etc,. after he was divested of his bow.

I am not even talking about what happened after Abhimanyu's bow got broken, my only point is - Karna broke Abhimanyu's bow fairly.

Abhimanyu was attacked by all the opponent warriors inside the Chakravyuh together when he was only one and he did not receive any help from his side. How can that be termed fair? Even if these fights took place before, each warrior is supposed to attack another warrior alone. Each of them did not attacki Abhimanyu one by one but all of them together attacked him and that was unfair for Abhimanyu. They deprived him of all his weapons. Think just normally. Is that fair..I think it was unfair and if they really thought of them as great warriors they could have attacked Abhimanyu one by one, and Dushi's son if was such a warrior to kill Abhimanyu, should have come before and not just strike him minutes before he would anyways die,
